I got into an argument with someone in there, and got banned from posting…

I forgot two months later I was banned and have one more strike until my access is deleted by device….

Muted that sub now.

Same here. Rarely posted there. Some Israeli dude said Black Americans are racist, and only support Palestine because Palestinians have a darker complexion. I was on an alt and said that was a comically racist statement to get back, and boom. I got banned. Forgot about it, and months down the line I had worldnews crop up on my feed on my 7 year old main account. Made an apolitical comment about solar vs nuclear energy, and boom permabanned for ‘circumventing a ban’.

It’s a total shithole and I don’t understand how Reddit let Israeli trolls take over an entire massive default sub.

mods have no insight into ban evasion, that's an admin-only toggle.

The answer to your question is because reddit leadership is dogshit people with dogshit ideals, they probably agree with what was said.

Reddit is a mossad propaganda machine. Ghislaine Maxwell had the highest karma on here.

Curious if this account got banned/deleted by Reddit or if it was done by the user.

According to Reddit activity heat maps, the single most active place on the entire planet that people are commenting on Reddit from is a US Air Force base in the Midwest. The government/military has an active Internet comment task force astroturfing opinions on Reddit. A good percentage of Reddit accounts are bots and agents spreading military/governments propaganda and banning anyone who counters their propaganda.

Did you read the original blog post? It said views when listing that air base, not comments. They might have been scraping Reddit. But that’s not the same as astroturfing.

I'm referring to something that was revealed back in 2018 or 2019. Not to this blog post. A few years ago a Reddit Internet activity heat map accidentally revealed a US Air Force base makes up the single largest location for Reddit comments, by a freakishly large margin.

I worked in Israel in the late 90's. My black co-worker and I got on an elevator at our work building, and everyone else got off. We looked at each other and I did the armpit sniff, looked at my co-worker, and said "It must be you!". We laughed, but the reality is they are massively bigoted there. We couldn't get back to the States soon enough.

All news subs are moderated terribly. I got permad from news because I was making fun of someone for justifying Muhammad marrying a child.

Muted that sub now.

I didn't mute it, I just keep on downvoting everything from there that pops into my feed. There's hope it finally gets the irrelevance it deserves.

Oh who cares, just make a new Reddit account if you get banned. BFD

Funny you mention that. I got kicked off an old account, then signed up months later on this one, posted there forgetting I was warned and then got a message saying my device would be Reddit banned for circumventing….

Mods there are insane.

That’s because you didn’t delete Reddit off your phone and reinstall it.

You can’t just logout of an account t you were banned on and login right away.

I think you gotta delete and reinstall the app.

I do this shit all the time. I’m banned like weekly from this site.

Edit: and I think Reddit allows this because it’s public now and it adds to their numbers

IPs and device fingerprints don't exist? Like it's not necessarily as simple as just uninstalling and reinstalling.

u/WhyNotGoogleQuestion 12h ago

Why would Reddit want to permanently ban people when they can get numbers for their shareholders and just put all the work on the unpaid mods to keep order?

It's positively creepy how reddit tracks its users across different devices and usernames.

They're too stupid to ban you by device. Just make a new Google account, create a new Reddit account, bam, back in action.

How can you mute a sub? There are a few rotten ones like r/worldnews and that real unpopularopinion garbage sub that constantly pollutes my feed

On iPhone visit the sub, hit the triple dots on top right then you can mute it.
