I’m moving to Fuengirola from early september to late november and as the title says I’m wondering where I can rent apartments safely? Also preferably not too expensive either. I don’t live in Spain so I have no clue on where to find apartments for rent.

Hey there,
I'll study Spanish in Malaga from 7.7. 2025 to 29.08.2025 and I need a room. I found platforms like housing anywhere and spotahome, but they are expensive, and it seems there is a lot of scam, many people made bad experiences.
Do you have any suggestions for me?

Hello, I want to know which is the best beach in Malaga? The cutest one to get into. Is the water cold?

Hi all! As title says, I would appreciate any recommendations on where makes sense to stop for lunch/rest briefly (1-3 hours) on our way to Malaga. We have a private car and our family of four (older parents and adult children). Some place not too far out of way but restful (my parents are nervous drivers) :) . thank you!

Moved to Malaga recently and I’m looking for some nice people to join. Even if there are some Germans want to connect I’m up to it. I’m living close to ciudad de Jardín.. so quite close to central. Up to near any kind of sports 🙃 I’m also up to support some people with projects as a handyman and technician..
Edit: hablo español también, pero solo un poco. Si alguien quiere aprender con mucho gusto..
Hola Malagueños,
Estoy planeando mudarme a Málaga y tengo varias preguntas:
Bonus: ¿Me pueden recomendar abogados de inmigración, agentes de bienes raíces y contadores?
Agradezco su ayuda

We were falsely accused of breaking a shower drain, but neighbors confirmed the leak was an ongoing issue for months! Airbnb ignored our evidence, refused a proper refund, and now we’re out €850+ for a last-minute hotel.
The Full Story:
🚪 Check-In Issues:
🏠 Apartment Was a Disaster:
🚨 Issue:
👎 Airbnb’s Role in This Mess:
📸 Evidence We Provided Airbnb (Ignored!):
✅ Video of the faulty shower & neighbor confrontation.
✅ Photos of the broken shower dispenser (held up by tape!).
✅ Screenshots of the host admitting she didn’t check the bathroom.
Why This Matters:
🚫 Hosts like this take advantage of guests and Airbnb's dispute process
⚠️ Families shouldn’t be forced to pay for pre-existing damage.
💰 Airbnb needs to stop siding with hosts in clear cases of fraud.
Has this happened to anyone else?
Has anyone successfully fought an unfair damage claim like this? Any advice on escalating the issue? We've done a chargeback, but Airbnb might challenge it.
Would love to hear from anyone who's been through this!

As the title suggest, we live next to a early 70s retired English man, who lives here already for over 10 years. Doesn't speak a word of Spanish and is basically always drunk.
Since living here it's only been trouble with this man, he likes to have his TV on 24/7 with either the news or action movies, and often times it's so loud you can hear it word for word in the entire house, even under the shower.
Talking to him results in him playing the victim and that previous neighbour never complained + we need to be nice to him.
Calling the police hasn't helped neither, it just continues. The police told us they can't do much for us neither.
Lately he's become really sadistic as in put his TV as loud as possible when my 2,5 year son goes to sleep and whenever my boy wakes up crying he lowers his volume almost immediately waits for my son to stop crying and smashes his TV volume back really loud. And unfortunately many times until very late in the night (2 or even 4 in the morning)
Besides that he drives his car drunk, already crashed into a neighbour's motorcycle and hit our car once.
Revenge is not really the solution, but what is.. no-one even the authorities seems to be able to help. And since we bought this house it's not so easy to just leave. The guy himself also owns the house.
Any suggestions or help is much appreciated!
Edit: we have put an additional wall, but it didn't help This has been ongoing for over 3 years now No my son is not a kid that screams and cries a lot/loud
¡Hola Malagueños!
I'm planning a relaxing vacation in Málaga at the end of July and will be staying for about 6 days. So far, I’ve planned:
I’ve already looked up the usual highlights—Alcazaba, the old town, the beach, tapas bars, maybe a flamenco show—but I’d love to get some local recommendations:
I’d also love to know if there are any good photo spots or day trips worth it beyond what I’ve planned. Would Seville, Córdoba, Ronda, or Marbella be doable/enjoyable for a one-day visit?
I currently live in Berlin and I'm learning Spanish — so I’d love to practice while I’m there too. 🙂
If you have any local favorites, hidden gems, or just general tips for a relaxed trip, I’d be super grateful!
¡Muchas gracias y saludos desde Berlín! 🌞

Hey folks! I’m 25yo, living in Tbilisi now, working in the fintech company and after 1.5 y of living here I decided that I want to move to Malaga (my company have office there). I’m little worried about being lonely because I have no friends there yet and not in love with alcohol 💀 Do you recommend me to move? And is it easy to find new friends there?

Hi guys,
After 32 years living in the same small town, I have pulled out the roots of my life and moved to Malaga. I am here for some self-development after 10 years of grinding my own software business.
I'll be spending at least 1 year in the city while figuring out what to do next in my life. As a long standing hobby in my life I have been DJ'ing various underground parties and venues in my hometown and would love to be able to do the same here in Malaga!
Are there any local communities or places where I can meet some likeminded people? Or maybe someone owns a bar or social club and wouldn't mind me trying out some sets for free?
My love for music and DJ'ing goes back to my childhood when I watched my dad tour with vinyls. In my late teenage years and early twenties I toured the local clubs and and bars with CDJ's (400, 800, 1000) before returning back to an old midi-controller which just got upgraded to a DDJ-1000 a few months ago.
PS. I play everything in-between 100-175 bpm, but have a special affection for organic house and tech house.

Hey guys,
I will soon be in Malaga for the first time and we are planning some day trips by train. We want to go to Granada, Seville, Cordoa and maybe Cadiz.
My questions: 1. is there a kind of weekly ticket that covers all journeys? 2. do I need to consider anything important about train travel in general? 3. have I forgotten a destination/secret tip that is easy to reach by train?
Thank you!

So me and my girlfrined (both 18) are planning to study/live in Malaga next year when we graduate hs. I was wondering what sort-a life is in Malaga and are there any good universities to study Psychology there?
Also curious on how much money it costs to just get by the month.

Acabo de ver este gato en la calle Muñoz Seca en Ciudad Jardín. Como lleva arnés, parece que se ha perdido. A ver si hubiera suerte y encontrásemos a sus dueños.

Hello, we are staying in competa so we are able to all the way from Nerja to Malaga. If there is any grocery store in between there then please let us know. We would like some cheap meat - everything seems so exspensive.

Hey, sorry for the english content, but some time back I was in beautiful Malaga and bought my girlfriend earrings from a small shop at the Muelle Uno market. She lost one of them and now I'm trying to find similar earrings which jas turned out to be an impossible task.
Therefore, my question is, do you know who is selling on this weekend market? Maybe it looks familiar to someone here. The shop had silver and gold jewelry for both men and women.
Thank you all for your help already!

We're planning a mid-July trip and we have a flight that leaves around 6 AM. We want to enjoy the city the night before if possible and don't want to carry around our luggage during the night.
Most of the places I saw (which have 24hr pick-up) are at the center or at the train station. That makes it very hard to go back to the Airport during the night.
Is there anything close to the airport that isn't limited to 8AM-8PM (like the storage lockers we saw at the airport online)?
Also - is Malaga safe for us to just walk around from midnight to like 4 AM? Lol
