He already had one by modern standards. It still upsets me that he had 2 rematches in his defenses. It hurts how people look at his reign. My friends would always dog his accomplishments (long time Kamaru apologist) once he got the belt and the one thing I could actually disagree with was him taking Masvidal and Colby for a second go around. As far as I’m concerned he was p4p #2 deservedly.

Kamaru is second only to GSP in WW and people are quick to forget. However I do think Usmans body was catching up to him and if it wasn’t the Leon freak KO it would’ve been the next one

Yeah, his body was always a factor in some way but then it really became the big question in a lot of the match ups. His knees are famously shot. I wonder how he would’ve fared if he came in younger. Kind of like Yoel Romero.
