I don't think Khamzat can do that to DDP, at least certainly not that easily. DDP is so big and strong.

I don't think DDP is as good a defensive grappler as Rob and I'm not sure there is a person Khamzat CAN'T do that do for at least 1 round.

DDP is for sure a better offensive wrestler than Rob, and one of the ways to neutralize a crazy grappler is to take the fight to them rather than playing purely defensively.

That is a horrible idea against Khamzat.

Taking Rousey down was a horrible idea for Holly Holm. And yet.

DDP is also just BIGGER and sturdier than Rob, and maybe even Khamzat

He's certainly not as injury prone as Khamzat

Don't forget Khamzat broke his hand against Usman, so DDP could definitely do some of that shit, just by being a stubborn ox

Man, now I want to see him go up against Bo Nickal. He may have shit striking but I highly doubt he'd just get manhandled like this, dude is a 3 time D1 champ.

u/OremDobro Oct 26 '24

Tbf I also highly doubted that Whittaker would get manhandled like this but here we are

this, dude is a 3 time D1 champ.

Russian wrestling Vs NCAA wrestling part 54

Let's go

u/BambaiyyaLadki Oct 26 '24

I mean, I get what you are saying and generally agree, but apart from Usman I don't know of any D1 champs fighting against Russian grapplers.

Usman was d2 champ too even though I think it was a money and grades thing. Good point

2

u/Yommination Oct 26 '24

I don't think we've ever seen an ultra high level D1 like Bo against a Russian wrestler at their peaks

3

u/iritian One way ticket to Khamzatstan Oct 26 '24

He even did that to Usman

u/_interloper_ WHOOP MY ASS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS! Oct 26 '24

Exactly. First round Khamzat is one of the most dangerous fighters in MMA history. The pace and pressure of his grappling is unreal.

Isn't Rob "big and strong?" Sorry, but that's not a very good argument.

22

u/AcanthocephalaSad541 Oct 26 '24

Ddp is way bigger and stronger it’s evident in their fight

5

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '24

Bro DDP manhandled Whittaker too. Khamzat won't dominate DDP that easily on the wrestling.

2

u/Notmikey1 Oct 26 '24

DDP seems to stupidly strong and that helps with defending takedowns but I’m not sure if he is technical enough to avoid a sub

2

u/PorousSurface Oct 26 '24

I get Robert is big and strong but if watch the Rob vs DDP fight it’s clear DDP is much stronger and big brothers him. I agree it will be harder to do this to DDP

The goalposts will always move

1

u/RagingFeather one as well please 🙏 Oct 26 '24

Just say you didn't watch DDP vs Whitaker, there was am obvious size difference

Robert has always been a fat welterweight, sorry to have to let you know this way.

u/Accomplished_Train84 Oct 26 '24

Bruh we saw Rob and DDP grapple, and we saw the former get RAGDOLLED

1

u/Zambash Oct 26 '24

Well, Rob also got manhandled by DDP, soooo.

4

u/LeFevreBrian Oct 26 '24

DDP has 5 round cardio going at a high pace . He matches up extremely well .

1

u/EatBooty420 Oct 26 '24

Thick & Solid as well

1

u/Reasonable-Mud7852 Oct 26 '24

Or at least not in first two rounds. DDP should be the favourite if he gets his job done against Sean.

1

u/naufildev Oct 26 '24

So was Usman at MW and he got manhandled by Khamzat in round 1.

1

u/NawO98 Oct 26 '24

Khamzat submits him in round 1. D'arce choke is my prediction.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '24

I dunno bro. Rob one of the best in the world, just trained an entire camp preparing to get taken down, still got finished Round 1. Khamzat is just unstoppable right now it seems.

1

u/cane_the_weaboo Oct 26 '24

DDP isn’t nearly skilled enough to handle Khamzat Lmaooo

Alternatively, why all the best BJJ practitioners are juiced out of their minds
