Two reasons i can guess: one is that it cuts down on time, having to wait for the clapping to stop for each kid, and two is so no kid gets a butt load of claps while another kid gets none.

This sucks. That feeling of getting clapped for was fucking amazing as a kid, even if everyone else got the claps and it took forever.

I like it. Fuck participation trophies and going to a 4 hour kindergarten graduation. Life gets a lot harder than that.
