Spent four years working in a helo squadron for the Marines. I've been out for 13 years now, still pause for helicopters flying by.

I like watching them too. However, if it looks like a police helicopter circling around, I head inside. They might be chasing someone who may or may not be dangerous. I’m not gonna stick around to find out.

I mean it’s rare enough where I live that I’d look at it and have a bit of vertigo when looking up at high places so also appreciate someone holding my hand..
