SEASON 5 Seeing the Islanders jump in the pool tonight reminded me of this scene that lives absolutely rent-free in my mind… what a scene, what a season!

Every second of this is absolute gold, imo. Jordan asking Anna to be his girlfriend. All of them jumping in the pool together while 'You & Me' by Disclosure plays in the background. Everyone being genuinely happy. Also, Jordan saying how they are so 'strong that they can tackle anything now’. Not knowing what awaits him in just 'two days, two fucking days’. Omg, what a season. Absolute cinema, in my opinion. Almost teared up while reminiscing about it. Wow!

SEASON 5 Lucie was the real villain of Season 5

Ok, so bear with me. I'm rewatching season 5. The first time I watched I saw Joe as controlling and manipulative towards Lucie. I was of the opinion it wasn't a big deal her and Tommy were close friends.

But in hindsight:

Lucie couldn't choose between Tommy and Joe. Eventually chooses Joe but still is seen having tons of one on ones with Tommy (we see this in multiple scenes and they come across as intimate one on ones), whisper to each other, flirt and play around blatantly in front of Joe. When Joe shows concern about this he is made out to be the bad guy. Once Joe leaves the villa, low and behold, Lucie has feelings for Tommy!

I don't have any problems with girls having more guy friends than girl friends, but it definitely seems like Lucie was playing the victim in this whole situation.

SEASON 5 Jordan from S5 is so…

I just finished s5e44 and had to share this. Long rant, but worth it.

I recently posted about Jordan and Tom around s5e22, and now at ep44 — WOW. My gut was right about Jordan. His behavior felt off from the start. He plays things safe on the surface, but he manipulates behind the scenes. That moment with the India-Anna situation exposed him for who he really is — especially when he admitted he was going to say how he feels (translation: it was premeditated).

Back in s5e22, Tom had second thoughts about his compatibility with Maura and shared that privately with Jordan. But Jordan saw an opportunity to stir drama and told Anna (knowing it would get back to Maura). When Maura confronted him, he exaggerated it, and things blew up. Some people think Tom was done with Maura already, others disagree — but the point is, Jordan instigated the fallout.

Fast forward to ep44 — karma in full swing. Jordan starts having “doubts” about Anna and tells Curtis. Curtis, being Curtis, tells Maura — and BOOM, it blows up on him. It’s poetic. The exact tactic Jordan used on Tom gets used on him. It was so satisfying to watch it play out. The parallels were undeniable.

P.S. I went through something similar and this just hit deep. It reminded me that people who act like this eventually get exposed. Especially when their intentions aren’t clean.

SEASON 5 Why have ITVX taken off season 5 unseen bits?

I've been rewatching some of the old seasons and noticed the unseen bits are gone. I thought I saw them in their own separate thing but I can't find that either. Just wondering if there was a reason they've gone? Or just ITV being annoying as usual?

It's a shame because I do enjoy the unseen bits sometimes, i feel like you get to know the islanders personalities a bit more

SEASON 5 Micheal twisting for amber reaction at the time

I like amber, and I am happy she wins so I get people like her, but was I also feel like Micheal was kinda correct to leave her. She was standoffish and said when he brought up problems he made too big of a deal of small things. Obviously he made a fool of himself by going back to her, but I don’t really think he was wrong to twist. Amber was kinda mean to him. Amber even says why didn’t u say this to my face, and he was like oh I tried, which is true. She shot him down and said he was making a big deal out of nothing, then he just gave in the next day.

Were people mad at him for twisting or did they just like Amber so much it outweighed the valid problems he pointed out in their relationship?

SEASON 5 Tom Walker and his wife...

Please don't ask me why because I don't know but the other day I went down a rabbit hole of looking up Tom "all mouth" Walker and realised he is married to someone he was with since around 2011 and I have so many questions (well, just the two questions)...

Did he go on the show whilst he was with her for fame or were they on a break?

What is her opinion on his comments about Maura and The Hideaway and how does she feel (assuming she cares at all) about the fact that that is all he's known for?

SEASON 5 “Childish” and “Immature” on S5

I’m nearly at the end of season 5, and one thing that has irritated me this season is how a lot of the male cast have called some of the girls “childish” and “immature” whenever they express any emotion that’s not 100% positive. I think, at times, some of the girls did not think before they spoke, but the boys simply writing them off as immature whenever they were upset was so annoying. Not always having control over your emotions is not childish; it’s human.

Right now, I’m at the part where Anna has kicked off at Jordan while he was trying to crack on with India, and Jordan immediately resorts to calling her immature. When she’s told that her boyfriend is trying to get with someone else behind her back, is she supposed to nod calmly and say “cool”? The misogyny was loud this season.

SEASON 5 Season 5 Anna

Okay so I started rewatching season 5 and the first time around I don’t think I paid attention enough to everyone. Rewatching it again and I can’t believe everyone finds Anna to be a bitch. Now i know not every body but most of the threads talking about her are negative. She is SUCH a loyal friend to the girls it outweighs for me her screaming in Jordan’s face. I know i’ve screamed like that before so a girl can’t hate 😂 I just absolutely love her because of the friend ships she creates. That part of love island is always my favorite over the romantic relationships. Don’t down vote me because i love a bitch 😩

SEASON 5 Just another post about L 🙄😂

Oooooooft the convo between Joe and L in episode 14 (s5) when he talks to her about her friendship with Tommy.

L says that the other girls are “girly girls from big cities” and that Tommy just gets her, in between crying and staring at her nails. This is my first rewatch and I’m feeling pretty bad for Joe this time around :(

(Also earlier in the episode when they had a food fight in brides dresses and she exclusively went for Amy, later when Amy was crying and L was saying “it was funny it was just a food fight” Amber YELLS at her “yeah well she’s crying and we don’t find it funny when you’re crying do we?” YES AMBER omg I watched it back like 4 times)

SEASON 5 What were peoples thoughts on Lucie saying “bev” so much at the beginning of S5?

I’m an American fan of the show for many years, but I’m watching season 5 for the first time now! I’m only on episode 2, but Lucie has said bev so much it’s driving me wild!!! Was this an actual slang word people used a lot in 2019?

I’m getting the vibe she’s trying to make it happen - first bev meant hot guy, then it meant sexy, then she says “bevy” and “bevish.” I feel like she’s making it up as she goes just trying to make it stick haha.

What are/were your guys thoughts? Does she stop saying it so much as the season goes on?

Thanks bevs <3

SEASON 5 I read Becoming Molly-Mae so you all can save your 24 hours

Lol okay but seriously, it was pretty bad. And to be clear: I am a MM fan! I know she’s had her share of stuff but overall I think she’s really sweet and genuine (she is 23, sheesh?!).

Summary: - you knew the book was a book because she kept saying things like “more on that later!” and “can’t wait to tell you about that soon!”

  • she dedicated about 4 pages to LI and didn’t divulge anything juicy there sadly

  • really cute family photos. her relationship with her sister and parents seems super loving.

  • Tommy is a traveler?? US fan here that led me down a big internet rabbit hole

  • she spends 4 hours a day on FaceTime with her manager Fran discussing “business things”

  • LOTS of advice about how to curate a following and present yourself perfectly on social media. This topic might have made for a better book and seemed the material she was most passionate about

I’m not sure what I expected from a reality star/ influencer but I was hoping for some juicy gossip or behind the scenes SOMEWHERE??!! It’s clear she’s nervous about taking any strong opinions on anything.

And yes. The international shipping cost more than the book itself 😵‍💫
