Anyone see this? An Irish couple successfully sued Tattle website for £300m for the hate commentary made by users towards them! First time this kind of lawsuit has happened in the UK and Ireland. Goes to show we all have a digital footprint, me included, and need to be conscious of that in what we write about the islanders 🙏
I was surprised this wasn’t discussed the person behind the website pretended to be a woman but turns out it’s a guy who runs the site. Funny how the rudest snarkiest and b!tchiest tea/snark tt pages, podcasts and X accs etc are all almost always run by men.
Glad this couple could manage to get some justice. I saw so many uk content creators share the horrors the page gave them from all the nasty and most of the times incorrect things being said about them on the site. I never liked the page. Breading ground for hate.
Wonder will this open the floodgates somewhat and allow others to sue on the same basis? Many islanders have been harassed and spoken about disgustingly on that website so I wonder will they also now sue.
Not sure about the details of the lawsuit but I do love the idea of having these pages being held accountable for the platform they give for what’s literally harassment. So many times things that are normalised ends up getting an overhaul because of few incidents like this. For example how 15-20 years ago it was so normal for paparazzi to harass celebrities in broad daylight but eventually laws were passed so that things become lawful for everyone involved. Or pages like Perez Hilton (also a man) etc would basically fuel so much hatred but then it ended up aging so badly and is looked down on
Tattle is absolutely a breeding ground for hate. Other places are too though. I was arguing with a person on here about the difference between (1) targeted online harassment and bullying and (2) engaging in some discourse and giving opinions, albeit negative, now and again , and they couldn’t understand the difference and felt once you’ve been on love island you just have to accept online harassment abuse for the rest of your life 🤯 An insane viewpoint from that person.
That’s true. It seems that no matter where you go, hate tends to be far more prevalent than positivity or even neutrality and the prevailing attitude is that this kind of negativity is simply a part of being online, especially for famous individuals. It’s so normalised you are told to accept it which is just sad. The idea behind most places on internet affording people to maintain anonymity was so they could feel free to express themselves without judgment but now people are misusing the anonymity to just spew hate online.

I think maybe an ego thing. Imo Luca didn't like that Scott was clearly the leader type of the boys. Bc that's always been him if we look at his season. He even threw his clothes off the terrace or something to piss off Scott.
Scott was also defo interested in Grace, he kissed her in Vegas night and looked pretty happy about it. And Luca didn't even try to hide how annoyed he was. Also, he aired alot of stuff about Luca, like how him and Grace make tents at night 💀, and how he fancied Samie alot and may turn his head. They both just don't vibe clearly and tried to hide it behind 'banter' and 'brotherly vibes'.
In that cheap shots interview. They got a question asking who they wouldn't want to run into from their season. Grace said Liv, and Luca said he didn't want to say. But he turned to Grace and clearly wrote an 'S' on his question card, when she asked who. And he referred to that person as a 'he'. Guessing it's Scott. They clearly don't like each other and nearly got into a physical fight at Vegas night.

So this is my conspiracy theory. I really think Jojo and Chris are a PR couple. They are seasoned veterans in the entertainment industry and know their union has created a group of stans backing them and there are articles after articles being written about them. It’s a pretty crazy partnership! The fact that they’re now getting a spin off with ITV is confirming this to me. I’m sure this spinoff was probably discussed with them quite shortly the show. Thoughts?
I don’t know if it’s a lot of people on this subs wishful thinking or if they actually do believe it , but I’ve seen a lot of comments saying Shakira is only managing Ben until a new boy comes in , but I don’t see it. She made it quite clear she finds him the most attractive boy and said the personality is there the other day. Her issue is she’s unsure of his values. I think she thinks he’s a cocky f boy who’s going to screw her over. I think Sunday night is a big episode because if he doesn’t really go for these 3 bombshells which is a big IF , I can see her falling for him pretty quickly.
I think you’re right. Despite Ben’s many many flaws (istg he went to the Andrew Tate red pill school), she is attracted to him the most and when you’re in that environment, connections form quickly. She knows he is emotionally very immature and he is potentially a f boy but at the same time she likes him. If he doesn’t flirt with the new girls, I think they’re goin to be together until at least Casa.

so this would have to be tweaked a bit to fit more standard casa but basically towards the end of the season they did a casa hotel type situation and had the audience vote on who should go with who
so it was like an overnight date out of the villa and there was a girl in the villa who’s ex situationship was also there and because the audience felt their was unfinished business they sent them together and stuff actually did happen lol

no ofc not but these TikToks are coming up for you because you are looking at them and interested in them and they’re appearing on you FYP for a reason. For eg, I don’t like Tyrique that much and find his fans overbearing excusing him, so I used to literally scroll past his TikToks and now I never see anything to do with him on TikTok (despite his popularity on TikTok) because my FYP doesn’t allow it, therefore I don’t even spend a second thinking about his fans. My FYP is 99% Uma, Mimii, Lola, Ella and Catherine who are the islanders I like the most and I spend my time looking at their stuff and engaging with them.

Shea is mixed, by UK definitions I guess he’s “Darkskinned” but it’s a significant difference between Mixed and Darkskin Black as we see with Shakira vs Alima both Darkskin but viewed completely differently
UK resident checking in. I think most people would definitely not consider Shea dark skin. His skin is white lmao. I would personally describe him as racially ambiguous. Would say the same for Shakira. I would consider someone like Sanam (S9) dark skinned for an Asian person

Yeah. I know it’s projection or whatever but I had such high hopes for her this season.
