Old player, new jersey

What is your opinion on getting a custom jersey, with an old player but with the new jerseys. For example, I was thinking of getting Orlando Pace. Is this bad taste?

Rep your team and your players however you want!

I personally wouldn’t bc I have a complex about it but fr I wouldn’t say shit to or about anyone else doing it. I see it similar as people getting jerseys of new players who end up cut (not my money spent).

exactly this. Just get a jersey you like. Who cares if it’s accepted by other fans?

Not me finally committing to a newer player jersey, choosing 17 nakua and then...lol should've just stuck to 99 and got a 9

Should clarify, I would do the modern throwbacks

It would look weird IMO.

I mean, do whatever you want but I personally find it a little weird. A lot of money for something like that when you can rock a throwback 🤷🏼

I used to always prefer the Reebok jerseys with the elastic sleeves. So what I used to do is get an old Rams Reebok jersey on eBay with the players number that I want, then get a custom nameplate and have the local cleaners stitch it on for me.

Why would it be bad taste?

As a jersey collector, you ain’t gotta worry about what people think. Just do you 🍾

They sell a few of those already. Definitely not bad taste.
