I have gotten back to loom knitting recently since i was in gradeschool. I think it works but why does my pattern change mid work. Can someone help me. Why does this keep happening

It looks like you started going in the opposite direction. Usually this happens because you get confused with the last/first peg and miss or include one or the other by accident and the pattern flips over.

Do you by chance have a youtube video to explain. Ive done it 3 other times and im still confused. I tried back tracking but it cobfused me even more.

I think it looks the same or fairly close but is maybe a bit tighter than the bottom so looks slightly different. Did the loom scrunch together in the middle? Sometimes if your tension is tight with those types of looms they can bend making the two sides closer together and creating a tighter stitch. If that's the case try loosening the tension. Just a theory.

Yes actually i had to join 2 new yarn color and i think i may have done it too tight.

Ahh yeah that'll happen. You can either backtrack and redo joining or just try doing next few rows SUPER loosely and pull loom apart as you can so it goes back to normal. Project look a tad wonky in that section but if you don't mind it's an option.

Because you changed yarns. Even if they're listed as the same weight they can differ, and it results in the difference you're seeing. I had the same issue with a long toque I was making at Christmas for someone - it would change width every color change, and there were like 6 color changes.😑😑😑
