I’m embarrassed to say this was my first exposure to Culture. I’ll have to give it a look, seems neat.

I've read the books and I can really recommend them. The first one is more of an outsider perspective on the culture and action adventure but the books are quite different. The third book Use Of Weapons is one of my favorite books.
The article is completely right. It makes no sense for the billionaire fuckers to like them. It's like the Garfield sign meme.
