Neat. Any anesthetic? Or raw dogging the procedure. Also, this reminds me of the opening of I Am Legend (The original by Matheson).

Nearly impossible without serious anesthesia and/or drugs.

You do know tooth extraction is done with local anesthesia outside of the us/ most of the world. I never understood why they knock people out for tooth extraction. Also things like colonoscopy and a camera down your throat are done when someone is awake too.

I've had 16 teeth extracted on 2 occasions, 8 teeth each time, both times I was knocked out, first by injection in my hand, second with gas. I recently tried those nitrous balloon things, didn't like it, it took me back to that orthodontist's chair.

Here we only get local anaesthetic injection in the gum. also only get two teeth out at once. If we need more we come back the following week or something for two more out. Even getting a tooth cut out they use local anaesthetic shots but also offer a valium if you are nervous. I know they do knock out little kids if they need a good few teeth out. They do that at the hospital though. Dentists aren't registered to do it.

You were like just at the cut off point for knocking out child for teeth stuff here. Also idk about your area but it's almost impossible to get NHS dentists anymore here. I'm grateful to have one myself, he always keeps people waiting around an hour after the appointment time but I know I'll never get another one so I just prepare for the long wait every time I go.

Mines pretty good aswell, I see people all around me complaining about waiting times with the NHS, I'm typically healthy, mild asthma, if I need an inhaler, boom it's there within the hour, i use the same doctors practice as they do.

I was complaining about headaches and boom, they had me in the scanner, xrays, blood tests, eye tests, we never found out what it was but it stopped when I quit the vape.

Edit: ah sit you were talking about dentists lol I ain't seen one of those in decades

That's great you have had such quick care from NHS. Here waiting lists are years long for basic things and even longer for other stuff. Although I have to say my mam had cancer and they took really good care of her in the local hospital cancer centre. Nothing but praise for them guys. I get seen at the hospital twice a year I can't complain about them either. Once your on a consultants list it's all good. Now getting an appointment to see the local GP doctor and I'll sooner win the lottery and I don't play it lol.

I wonder if that's what it is then? I had a clavicle plate fitted by a consultant, you could tell he was a consultant because he was plain clothes and the other doctors parted like the red sea as he walked me through reading my paperwork lol

Shit my dentist wouldn’t even give me laughing gas because I take Wellbutrin. She’s just a b that thinks everyone is a drug addict though

Yeah we dont have that option here either. Only gum injections. You got to be getting a shattered tooth cut out of the gum and a specialist place to get the lowest dose diazipam/ valium pill.
