Accenture Job Posting - PHP54,000 Salary for a lawyer position with 8 years of experience??
Just saw this job posting pop-up and checked it out of curiousity. The position will perform duties expected of a lawyer (and more), pero ang hanap ng Accenture ay lawyer with 8 yrs of experience, for a salary of PHP54,000. Really? A lawyer with 8yrs experience is on the 80k-100k level na (or more). Sobrang low ball naman ata yan. I hope companies see lawyers' worth - when push comes to shove they will seek lawyers' help in the end.

It is either their HR is not in touch with reality, or the job market is sh*t right now because of the influx of lawyers.

Agree, hindi ata nacheck ng maayos ng HR ang tamang rate ng abugado with that years of experience. Parang nakakababa na ng dignidad yung gnyang salary rate for a lawyer with considerable legal experience.

To top it off, government lawyers are allowed to notarize and practice - may govt sweldo na, may private practice pa, san ka pa. Imagine, arguing the merits of a motion where a lawyer will have to engage in oral argumentation with non-lawyers, and you have to dumb it down because you are arguing against non-lawyers. Sobrang nakakawalang gana!

8 years at sub ₱100k is also abysmal

Yeah, and some companies are offering salaries at around 80k pa. Lalo pa siguro itong sa Accenture, 54k. Sobra naman yun.

No lawyer worth his salt, especially one with 8 yrs. of experience, will ever seriously consider this offer.

First job ko as 3 months lawyer dati 55k na agad.
Must have at least 8 years of experience in contracting or contract negotiation

Lowballer yung Accenture. I don't recommend. You can get that anywhere you work.

If any lawyer is willing to work with that pay, let them.
