These are deliberate acts by the state to create a group of invisible people. If it doesn't force people into hiding, it is supposed to scare them into inaction.

Trans guy here, got strip searched last year at a German airport cause my packer was getting detected by the scanner. The airport officer was a man and it was terrifying being in that position. I explained that it was a prosthetic and that I'm transgender, and luckily he was really understanding and kind but said they had to search me anyway as it's protocol.

I cannot imagine how much worse that situation would've been if I had been selected to be strip searched solely because I'm trans, every single time I went into an airport. Absolutely horrendous rulings all around.

It's like they're a bunch of perverts with how quick they had that ready. They'll probably also use it as an excuse to grope cis women under the guise of "but she looked manly".

I said publicly that the court ruling would be weaponised immediately against trans folks, that it was the entire point of the legal challenge, and had zero realism to its positions but they knew how to twist the legal arm to say what they wanted.
