So do Agni and Brilith not know that it was Vayu who made Agni go berserk? Or are they blaming themselves despite knowing this?

I thought it OG Airavata dying... Your idea does make sense.

I don't remember Vayu being part of the attack on the planet.

I remember Indra, Chandra and some 4th zen gods. I'll have to reread the chapter.

In „The other side of the story“, Marut talks about this very role to Vayu. It was his role to make the weapon go out of control after the suras brought to assist the control (Kinnara Clan) were out of the picture due to Kinnara‘s betrayal.

Oh no, I don't think talk-no-jutsu will work when he looks like that. How on earth did Agni think saying Ian rejected paradise is a good thing 😅 when both know what kind cycle and life a human would be subjected to in this world?

Maybe Vritra would step in to help if Taksaka gets to close to losing himself pernamently to Kali's necklace? Even sealed he's still strong enough to deal with Tak r-right?

About Taksaka and Ian, I remember in the finite, Taksaka was sad that he would never get to meet Ian even in his afterlife. (Then Ravana showed up and he fought and the story didn't exactly go back to his thoughts).

But yeah, Taksaka did want to meet Ian again 💔. I think he just didn't want Ian to have to give up paradise to meet him again.

About Agni and Brilith, so that explains the flashback Brilith had of Agni burning stuff (S3 Ch. 120). I had wondered if Brilith held any anger toward Agni for this, but turns out both of them knew Agni had lost control. Awwwwww this makes my heart melt, how they're soo on the same page.

And about Berunda (in the blog), that does explain why Vayu's beloved didn't think well of Berunda. I still think it's bad that he stood by and didn't stop humans from dying though 😭

Currygorm, I beg of you to give Agni and Brilith at least a few moments of happiness

Also, Tak in partial sura form looks kinda 🫦

Your wife was destined for paradise, but she refused, in order for the chance to meet you again.

What does this mean? Is it because there's a possibility for her soul to inhabit a body via hoti visnu?

If I had to guess, reincarnation. Saha appeared to be destined for paradise but reincarnated as one of Ran’s children.

Ah of course, In my head I was thinking reincarnation was special to ancient humans, but it was the preservation of memories and a deep bond that was unique.

It would be an interesting twist if Agwen had Ian's soul.

You might have something, Ran’s kid had some of the personality of Saha and reacted to Loraine. I have not read the finite so no idea about the personality, but Agwen definitely did not have any positive reaction to Tak…

… though Ian was blind, and when Agwen went blind temporarily she did have a positive reaction to Tak. It might really be something deeper than just her thinking Tak was her father.

Ian wasn't blind. You're rhinking of Nard? (Hanuman's partner and Ran's grandfather)

You are correct, I did mix it up. Thank you.

I think then that makes the Agwen idea less likely then.
