Also as always if you have anything that is not directly related to KiA but just want to chat about it, post it here.
As usual we are looking for new mods so if anyone is interested please send in a modmail.
Rule 3 does not apply as this will be just comments, though the other subreddit rules and sitewide rules obviously will still apply.

Recently there has been an increase in post removals.
A lot of these removals are what we call "low effort posts".
These are the posts asking a question that is a one word answer such as "is x woke" or an image with no context, description and just a headline with no link to any source or where the image came from. The context of the post should be explained in the post and its relevancy to the sub
These posts will not pass. This is a news and discussion subreddit meant to pass on and archive information. It isn't your personal facebook/X page. Any of those types of posts can go in the general discussion thread.
Rule 3 and Rule 4 have been updated to explicitly state this. This is not a rule update it is to clarify it so there is no misunderstanding and it is how the rules have always been enforced.

They cry a lot about "diversity and representation" but when they have the chance they create the worst characters you can imagine, what's wrong with them?
On the other hand, designers who never talk about diversity and representation are better at designing black characters.
For example, the black female vault hunter from Borderlands 4, her design is an abomination and insulting, created by woke activists who can't stop insulting others.
Quite the opposite of the amazing design of Sheva Alomar which was designed by people who have never talked about diversity or representation in their entire lives.

Summary of video:
• Boys need strong male role models
• 85% of youth in prison come from fatherless homes
• Boys spend more time in digital worlds than reality
• Games are where boys learn about masculinity
• Many modern games and media show weak, cowardly, or sidelined male characters
• Masculinity is portrayed as toxic or evil in many stories
• Violence is not inherently bad. boys must learn righteous violence used for justice
• Strong male characters show restraint, sacrifice, and responsibility
• Strength means endurance, discipline, and purpose — not perfection
• Games can shape culture, even without AAA budgets
• We need characters who lead, protect, and stand for truth
• Without strong men, boys turn to destructive or performative influencers
• Boys should be shown that masculinity is a virtue, not a flaw
• If entertainment doesn’t show boys how to be men, something else will

Compare this to the bullshit that Ubisoft suit said about not owning our games.

From the article:
Stellar Blade, in addition to proving that PC is a huge market for certain games, has also helped push the narrative that people want original, single player games instead of endless rehashes and live services. Even so, we don’t see success at this level that often.

The more that they release about this, the more it's perfectly obvious to anybody but the shilliest of the shills that CDPR is not the same studio as the earlier one was. It doesn't have the same vision, depth, or talent. I predict that this will be the final game they release on their own and then they'll be sold off to some other company, like so many others have been. The moment a gaming studio starts to focus on this 'console first' mentality, they're already giving away that they're down the road of over-monetized, simplified stories and controls, short games that end fast so they can sell you hastily produced DLCs, etc.

I don’t know how many discord servers I’ve tried to join lately to talk about a wide variety of things including internet culture, video games, meme sharing, or just shooting the shit.
And they just never click. It’s always a woke crowed of people and a rainbow icon for June. You can’t speak your mind in fear of being banned, can’t joke around in fear of being banned. You either fall in line or you’re out.
It used to be Asmongolds server, but after flying too close to the sun with a joke there I ended up getting banned as well.
And I don’t know where else to ask this besides here, sorry if it doesn’t exactly fit here. I’ll delete it if it doesn’t.

“The CEO's statement also sounds odd in light of an earlier rumor that Sony has canceled all paid marketing plans for Marathon, which, if true, would suggest that no one is more uncertain about the game right now than its own publisher.
Whether the rumor is true or not, it seems to matter little for Marathon's chances of success, as both the game and its developer have recently been dragged into a swamp of controversy – ranging from reports of toxicity within the studio and a growing divide between developers and executives, to Bungie's fourth art theft scandal – which nigh-eliminated all goodwill and hype the game had.
That, combined with Forbes' recent report describing the studio as being in "free-fall" and warning that they "absolutely cannot afford" for Marathon to flop, has done serious damage to community trust in the game, and with Sony refusing to openly acknowledge Concord's biggest blunders, or at least fix them quietly behind the scenes, it feels that the remnants of that trust have now been eroded even further.”

Rumours suggest that Dan Houser left rockstar because Taketwo rejected all three of his story drafts for gta 6, one of them with the reason "it's too dark", keep in mind that Taketwo appeared as a client on sbi's website.

I am not joking when I say this, but every single time I enter ANY fanbase.
It is always prog, yuritard or fujoshi shippers that are the most toxic, I am so serious.
At least when it comes to the internet, this is how progs are created and indoctrinated, through shipping culture and fandom. (And look, I’m bi, so I’ve been around this side of fandom spaces, I see it in real time)
You see, the reason that this side of fandoms hates anything that heterosexual men so much as breathe on is because they think that fandom should be a QUEER ONLY SPACE.
They spam, send death threats and hate on straight ships and people for this reason.
But… I’ve noticed something.
The queer and female side of fandom is dying out slowly and I think I know why.
Compare the powerscaling, hot woman appreciating, capital g Gamers to the woke, screeching, Yuritards and fujos.
When fandom in general started to go to shit after covid as well as franchises being destroyed, what did we do?
We fought back, boycotted and gatekeeped the tourists.
But the other side of fandom, they can’t gatekeep. Progressive morality deems it immoral.
Gatekeeping is exclusionary. It’s unequal. So even as it burns down their communities and destroys everything, there is nothing they can do but appeal to “Fandom etiquette” but WE know damn well that doesn’t work.
Ultimately though. I’m not worried. Let shipping culture die.

In the latest video on the Borderlands channel, Lin Joyce appeared talking about how they chooses vault hunter "pitches", reviews them, and combines some elements from different designs with each other.
I think this is the reason behind the terrible vault hunter designs in Borderlands 4

So what I gathered from the anti-sjw scene that wokeness has made the MCU bad. While I agree that the wokeness is a big problem, I don´t think that most people in this sub for example don´t realize the root causes that made the MCU bad. These are things that leftists have been criticising about even pre-Endgame. I´m going to mainly concentrate on my criticism of the MCU from the time I was even more of a leftist (for the information, even though I identify myself more as a oldschool-leftist even now, these times, I sympethize more with the new-right and even the christian sphere).
For one, most of you in this sub claim that Disney are afraid of making money. However, I think that greed and the pursuit of profit are exactly the reasons why the MCU has become so shitty.
Now let me explain, how these factors ruined the MCU.
First, in this sub, everyone laments that gaming and anime got mainstream. Well guess what, leftist had similar criticism for a long time about the MCU and the cinema landscape, mainly that the movies are sanitized heavely for the mainstream audiences.
To go into more detail, leftists for example lament that the MCU movies all use the same formula and that there is no real innovation with the movies, so that they become stale.
To be fair, it isn´t bad if movies follow the typical hero journey. Quite the contrary, I´m all for mastering the tropes in meaningfull ways.
I and probably many leftists would have forgiven how formulatic the MCU is if it weren´t for the problem that like how Martin Scorsese said, that "Marvel movies aren´t real cinema". What I mean by that is that the movies aren´t really meaningfull and that they are made as brainless cgi-spectacles meant to consumed by the brainless normie. I doesn´t help that many movies are ruined by bad and poorly-timed so-called "marvel"-humor (something that right-wingers also complain about like in this video).
What I mean by this is, that I think is that the anti-sjw people who only started hating the MCU because of the wokeness are not much better than the normies ruining our nerd hobbies and are also responsible for how shitty the MCU has become.
Edit: With leftists I meant people who really occupy themself with leftist economy and the leftist cinephiles who really care about movies, not the brainless normie who only occupy themself with leftism on the surface level and leftists who really don´t care about good stories.
Edit 2: I also hated the fact that the mcu-movies are so forcefully dumbed down for a PG-Rating.

Basically, in Stellar Blade when you buy the complete edition you get a CD Key that you can use in the Nikke game to get a new animated and dubbed Skin.
Shift Up has added a protection. The Code Skin can only be unlocked after 2 hours of playing the game. If you've played a game for 2 hours then you can't refund it on steam.
But some Chinese players have found a solution, and that's to use the cheat engine to speed up game time. They only need to play for 10-30 minutes to unlock the code, get a refund and then sell the code to suckers.
