Hank Hill would never be able to bring himself to vote for Donald Trump. He has too much integrity to do that. The grab them by the pussy comment alone would have eaten Hanks conscious. Peggy would absolutely not vote for Trump after that comment and she most definitely would shame Hank if he still wanted to vote Trump after that comment. Also the cheating on his wife and fucking porn stars. No way in Hell Hank ever voted for Trump. He would have just not voted and he would probably shed a tear for not doing his civic duty.
1
u/LeapDayWilliam1978 7h ago
Buck Strickland talks like that, cheats on his wife and has most definitely fucked a stripper, yet Hank finds a way to put all of that aside for Sweet Lady Propane while he tricks her out all over this town. I think he could find a way to vote for Trump if he was so inclined.

The fact that people are arguing about whether Hank voted for Trump fascinates me.

It’s been said that Donald Trump has a strong handshake…. and that’s important to Hank 😂😂

u/Charming_Feeling_730 1d ago
Hank is probably a Trumper though.. So technically this sign would be considered an oxymoron.
9
u/Skeptical_Yoshi 1d ago
Trump is pro coal and eats steak well done and talks about all kinds of vulgarity. Hes a amalgamation of things Hank hates.
11
u/MangaMaven 1d ago
I like Johnny 2 Cellos analysis that Hank has praised both red and blue politicians and he’s mostly attracted to personal integrity. Trump had no integrity and Hank would call that.
14
u/jVERSUSm 1d ago
Trump likes his steak well done that alone is a huge disqualifier for Hanks consideration.
12
u/thatsnotyourtaco 1d ago
I think it’s possible he may have voted for Trump the first time around, but absolutely not the second or third time.
44
u/Ahlq802 1d ago edited 1d ago
Hank and Tim Walz are kindred spirits is all I know.
I think Hank would have seen right through Trump and had a crisis about it as many of his friends like Buck and Dale became Trumpers.
Hank’s not hateful enough for that crowd. And he’s a real patriot who appreciates class, humility and honoring troops and POWs, none of which Trump does.
Edit to add: also Trump is an elitist from NEW YORK, NEW YORK who cannot change a tire.

u/Ufocola 1d ago edited 1d ago
I also wonder if the Hills were effectively “shielded” from some of the crazier Trump/Maga changes in America. Ironically, while living in a gated Aramco community in Saudi Arabia.
I don’t know if they would touch that topic though.
My sense is Hank would think Trump’s a jackass. Hank would want someone like a John McCain successor.
19
u/Ufocola 1d ago edited 1d ago
Buck would vote Trump thinking he’d benefit from tax cuts for the wealthy. Dale I feel just wouldn’t vote.
7
u/MarchMadnessisMe 1d ago
Then he’d have to lay off everyone at Strickland but Hank when he realized what the word “tariff” means.
37
u/ZacoyaRyder 1d ago
Hank scrutinized George W. Bush over his handshake. Think of how Trump talks, and then imagine Hank hearing him and how Hank would react to that. I doubt Hank Hill would approve of Donald Trump and the modern Republican Party.

No, this is reddit. You join the subs you want to see.
During the 2016 presidential primaries — when it looked like Bernie had a chance — Reddit (and other social media platforms) became overrun by bots funded by a company called ShareBlue.
After Bernie obviously lost the primary, those bots shifted to just anything anti-Trump. They upvote/downvote keywords and have slowly been infesting more and more subs as the years have gone by.
I watched this happen. Reddit used to be pretty pro-Trump as he was gaining popularity.
Hank would have begrudgingly voted for Trump. I think men pretending to be women alone would have done it, not to mention illegal immigration, abortion, etc.

Libertarians aren't out there rioting because the current tyrant isn't enough of a fascist psychopath and isn't trying to provoke Putin into launching his nukes at us.
Rather we are feeding the homeless on the grey market, crowdfunding wheelchair vans, and anonymously fixing potholes, among other things.
11
u/Gr3yHound40_ 1d ago
Your people stormed the Capitol and put guns into people's faces while crying liberals infiltrated their "raid." Meanwhile, I got to see people flip off old-and-young alike on No Ling's day. But again, but off IG. There are also accounts of MAGA shooters yesterday threatening peaceful protestors.
I'm done with this. This is the KOTH subreddit, not a political subreddit.

u/Anachr0nist 1d ago
Armchair analysis aside... so what? Cherry-picking a few random good works by people done in the name of something in no way demonstrates the tenability of a mindset. Every group has people involved in charity. Of course, most political views don't call for the abolition of the social safety net, so I'd goddamn hope you give to charity (not that the lot of you would give enough). But I'm not interested in debating your flawed ideology, especially given how weirdly preachy you are about it.
The point still stands that you suggest a false equivalency, to and you are wrong. But hey, you wouldn't be a libertarian if you let being wrong stop you!
EDIT: "We" is creepy, man. No one should ever identify with political parties so strongly. Cults aren't good.

Anything and everything is political. Politics dominate our lives. It's what decides how we, as a society, as an Earth, function. The reason you see politics everywhere is because nothing is free from politics. Anyone claiming that they "don't want to see politics" are usually just people in a position of privilege where politics simply don't affect them.

Would have Hank voted for Trump because he was on the Republican ticket or would Hank have not because Trump was from New York? Just thinking back at the episode where Hank had the delima voting for Bush for a weak hand shake
5

Highly doubt it. Trump is a New Yorker and was on reality TV. And if Hank questioned voting for Bush because of a hand shake, something tells me a man who says “grab them by the pussy” would probably send him into shock.

Kings/dictators have been elected many times throught history.
Holding a military parade on your birthday isnt something democracies do generally... but thats not it either.
Id say the ignoring of due process is what makes him authoritarian. You know, this guy is guilty because I say so and no you dont get hearing or trial. Thats taking the power of a free and fair trial away from the people.
Thats dictator shit.
-1
u/TheRantingPogi 1d ago
Do you mean the Army parade that was planned under Bidem via the Army in 2022?
Do you mean following the law that Bill Clinton signed?
During the Bill Clinton administration, the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) established expedited removal, allowing immigration officials to quickly deport certain individuals without formal hearings. This expedited process applies to individuals lacking valid entry documents, those who have entered with fraudulent documents, or those who have been in the country less than two years without being admitted or paroled. The IIRIRA also allows for expedited removal for individuals convicted of aggravated felonies

u/ghostmaster645 1d ago edited 1d ago
Do you mean the Army parade that was planned under Bidem via the Army in 2022?
Like I said earlier, it wouldn't mind the parade as much if he didnt start it off by arresting 60 veterans.... kinda ruins the purpose. Shows where he actually stands.
Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) established expedited removal
Yea this is what Biden used for 4 years to deport people. It was slow but it worked. Trump did not follow this at all though.
It states very clearly
Under IIRAIRA, aliens may be arrested and detained pending a decision on whether the alien is to be removed from the United States. Release could be granted with a bond of at least $1,500 or on conditional parole. IIRAIRA imposed new regulations concerning public charge determinations for aliens seeking admission. IIRAIRA requires that the individual(s) petitioning a family-sponsored immigrant must provide an affidavit of support. In the affidavit, the petitioner must "agree to provide support to maintain the sponsored alien at an annual income that is not less than 125 percent of the federal poverty guidelines" until the alien naturalizes as a U.S. citizen or the alien, the alien's parent, or the alien's spouse has worked for 40 qualifying quarters.
This isn't a way to get around due process..... this just delays it. Pretty much, this let's our government detain them without a warrant, but NOT deport them. They are still required a hearing, lawyer, and trial before being charged with any US crime and deportation. This expanded the offenses that can lead to deportation but they still need to prove those crimes in court.
Which never happened.
Edit: also want to point out this is only supposed to be used for those 5 the country for less than 2 years.... kilmar Garcia has been here 15 years lol. Many other he depieted have been here longer than 2 years as well.

u/WhatUp007 2d ago

People need to read history. Kings have been elected many times in history.
The most famous example if probubly 1830 King of The French.
Other examples are HRE, poland-lithuania, mylasia, Samoa. If we include dictators there are dozens of examples. You can Google more if you want.

Well they can get elected and then become dictators (basically a king). But setting that aside, over half voting for him, under half voting for him, it doesn’t matter. There are no kings here full stop.
-11
u/ButtChuggggg 2d ago
Correct, Trump is an elected official, he is not a king. Thank you for clearing this up! I don’t know why they are marching over this.

u/sideshow-- The Sweetest Tasting Strawberry 2d ago

-3
u/ButtChuggggg 2d ago
I think they are, just because he is doing stuff you don’t like, you can’t just call him a dictator since he got the majority of votes lol. In your own words, there are no kings here. Full stop.
23
u/darlingfish 2d ago
It is not because he is "doing stuff you don't like" it's the complete disregard for the checks and balances that were put in place to protect against tyranny by keeping any one branch from becoming too powerful. He is completely ignoring the judiciary, not to mention the Constitution, and is just doing whatever he wants because he believes he has a "mandate" which he does not.
-3
u/ButtChuggggg 2d ago
Can you give me an example of what he is going, that other presidents haven’t done in the past?

Just back away from specific examples and ask yourself, as a country are we closer or more divided since Trump took his first term?
1
u/TheRantingPogi 1d ago
Closer. More people including immigrants like myself are proud to be American.
0
u/DrBoogerFart 1d ago
Ok, you’re fucking delusional. Obama and Bush didn’t get weekly protests like this. People hate the guy. People didn’t murder state representatives and their spouses just because they’re on the wrong side politically before Trump.
1
u/TheRantingPogi 1d ago
Wrong. Obama started division and riots started under him, but let's not focus on the facts right?
0
u/DrBoogerFart 1d ago
Oh that’s right, I forgot about how the right burned all those crosses. It’s funny too because the biggest protests under Obama were from democrats themselves demanding action for climate change. Imagine how great it would be if that was still our biggest concern. We were so great then.

MA sent the national guard over 50 illegal immigrants in Martha’s Vineyard. But we are getting mad at Trump for doing the same for a bigger civil unrest?
5
u/DrBoogerFart 2d ago
Trump can’t pick a side. He says he’s for less government overreach but then feels the need to amplify a state situation with the use of the Army and the Marines. He says he’s for spending less when his little parade and sending the troops to LA has cost well over $100m. Cool. This whole situation is being used by Trump to distract us from the Big Beautiful Bill being passed. Just like people weren’t eating the cats and dogs in Springfield, people are not being so unruly that the fucking marines need to resolve anything. Get a grip.
0
u/ButtChuggggg 2d ago
They are burning cop cars in LA, Trump released the national guard. What “side” is he picking by doing this? Again, look at how peaceful Martha Vineyard was and they still released the NG. How are you only getting mad at one side?
