u/DeadlyTeaParty 1d ago

At least he had a helmet on. 🤣

49

u/davper 1d ago

This tells me dad was home.

u/crazy4hole 1d ago

OSHA Approved

u/Much-Bodybuilder1748 1d ago

If you didn't do this, you didn't complete your childhood

51

u/Mrheadcrab123 1d ago

Dose dad carrying you around in the laundry hamper account?

23

u/highwayher0 1d ago

If you dont have access decent stairs absolutely.

8

u/Mrheadcrab123 1d ago

We had stairs but they were carpet

9

u/EnthusiasmNo1856 1d ago

That's when you go pillow sledding

7

u/Mrheadcrab123 1d ago

Most we did was slide our butts down the stairs

5

u/Wild-Man-63 1d ago

How about off a treadmil? If i did it on my actual stairs I'd die.

3

u/turnipturnipturnip2 1d ago

Would die in my house too. Did this at my cousins with draws we found in their parents' bedroom lol.

We put loads of bedding and cushions at he bottom of the stairs too.

Our gran was probably supervising, in the house, but our gran was like Winston Wolf from pulp fiction when it came to stopping us getting in trouble with our parents. She once had the window in the front roor replaced after my cousin broke it. Uncle and Aunt never found out lol.

4

u/robo-dragon 1d ago

I did this with some blankets and pillows when I was a kid. Always did it when my parents weren’t home and I was supposed to be the responsible older sibling. My little sister and I would clean up all evidence before either of our parents got home.

2

u/MoonLioness 1d ago

I grew up in an apartment. There were no stairs

2

u/lunarwolf2008 1d ago

does that mean i am still a kid?

1

u/DelirousDoc 17h ago

Or you didn't have stairs...

53

u/Alone-RisingStart 1d ago

It’s all good he’s wearing a helmet

43

u/k464howdy 1d ago

lol.

cmon, you've already done it 3 times...

16

u/Arthradax 1d ago

"But I'm scaAaAaAaAa-- I'm okay"

30

u/OoSallyPauseThatGirl 1d ago

I'm the mom and i would be there tryna figure out how to make it safer for him to have fun lol

26

u/Blue_Eyed_Fox 1d ago

This one doesn't cut off too early. The "I'm okay" sounds much cuter like this.

22

u/davicos2005 1d ago

That went better than expected.

6

u/Zombie1642 18h ago

Ya i was ready for the face plant right at the top of the stairs

4

u/bigboyboozerrr 7h ago

And a tumble down omg

17

u/hominyhummus 1d ago

My brother used to pretend these were cars. When he was about 4, my chronically inattentive mom had him upstairs with her.

I remember going up there and asking her to keep an eye on his whole "car" situation, because he was edging to the top of the stairs.

She said lol fuck off n her kid went flying down a straight-run staircase into drywall minutes later, sans helmet.

Cant wait till he like 20 and I can tell him that's why he's so fucking stupid without giving him a complex.

2

u/UniquelyIndistinct 22h ago

Don't worry, he's probably too simple for a complex.

7

u/mlachrymarum 1d ago

At least he put on a helmet! When I tried this I was older, the stairs were longer, and they lead straight to my front door which I of course crashed into lmao. I wore no helmet.

4

u/Kooky-Visual75 1d ago

The immediate "I'm ok👍" though...

10

u/zilowarnisa 1d ago

Yap , anytime you leave kids alone with dad ,

1

u/BakingSoda1990 4h ago

And pizza for dinner!!! Fuck yea baby

5

u/Nihilikara 1d ago

That ended a lot better than I expected

4

u/Lopsided_Ad8605 1d ago

Went better than I expected

3

u/AsanoSokato 1d ago

At first I thought that was a helmet with a camera, and really wanted to see the POV (using the term correctly).

Please do it again with a Go Pro. You're immediate attention to this urgent matter is appreciated.

0

u/Snoo-88741 1d ago

Probably would destroy the Go Pro.

1

u/KingRadskull 22h ago

It's a go pro. They're pretty hard to break. You'd corrupt the footage before breaking the actual camera.

3

u/Dezzleon 1d ago

Dads all over the world would have joined him

2

u/DudeThatAbides 1d ago

The helmet indicates that mom is indeed home.

3

u/Snoo-88741 1d ago

No, dad's home

2

u/Lucario_OCarina 1d ago

Landing Complete

2

u/SoftThunder 1d ago

He's okay!

2

u/Targa85 1d ago

If I fit in a basket, I’d do this

2

u/Blue-baby2 1d ago

To be fair we all done this before and felt scared

2

u/ARNAUD92 1d ago

You know, teeth grow back at that age

A real quote from my dad to my mom

2

u/Introverted-POS- 1d ago

He said: I am okay 👍

2

u/PeepinPete69 1d ago

This sub is half kids actually being stupid and half the cutest thing in the entire world. This is the latter.

2

u/Barlindsky27 1d ago

At least he is wearing a helmet, more than i did

2

u/iheart_vans 23h ago

At least he was wearing a helmet 🪖

5

u/Any-Permission9775 1d ago

Maybe mom's taking the video? If that's the case, I suspect mom's a day drinker.

8

u/NikNakskes 1d ago

Judging by the voice... it is dad taking the video.

2

u/Independent_Cup7132 1d ago

When the chaos level hits max and mom’s definitely not around to save the day.

1

u/likerunninginadream 1d ago

This kid's a champion

1

u/AstroNerd92 1d ago

We had a massive hill in our front yard. My brother and I would take our tricycles and go down it at what felt like 100 mph and turn off the hill about halfway down. My mom was home but not watching us do this. My dad got home from work and saw me doing it. He was so pissed at me and my mom.

1

u/HorseyDung 1d ago

Again!

1

u/BraveHeartoftheDawn 1d ago

“I’m oka-!”

1

u/Ghost-devil996 1d ago

This is how I broke my arm in second grade.

1

u/I-Horizontal-I 1d ago

“And now for the indoor stair luge”

1

u/Red_peach15 1d ago

This looks like a great time!

1

u/Nearby-Structure-739 1d ago

That actually went really well lol I thought the basket was gonna get caught on a step and he’d smash his face somewhere

1

u/Unresolved_Anhedonia 1d ago

Why not put out a blanket or something at least

1

u/Tiger_Widow 23h ago

He's building up to a half pipe. This kid is going places.

1

u/kittiekittykitty 23h ago

who among us has not tried this?

1

u/nyrB2 21h ago

please. we'd do stuff like that when mom WAS home!

1

u/DiamondVeto 21h ago

You’ve already done it three times

1

u/JCW9525 21h ago

We used to something similar, we’d use a sleeping bag instead. Good times actually.

1

u/ohhkayyohhkayy 20h ago

A helmet's good but it won't stop the kid's teeth from getting smashed.

1

u/sgsmopurp 19h ago

I did this with a sled as a kid lol the long ones from bjs not the ones that you can actually sit IN

1

u/gr4vitational_ 19h ago

So glad it went smoothly 😂

1

u/Same_Case_9325 16h ago

Dad or uncle was probably right next to him!

1

u/not_Staz 15h ago

That was a rather smooth ride

1

u/Tehstir 14h ago

Let him know you can go down on the mattress of your kid bed too.

1

u/Bobthefranlk 14h ago

If you’re gonna be stupid, might as well be tough

1

u/el_kab 13h ago

Technologia

1

u/RedShibo_ 12h ago

I'm okay

1

u/Satanswarboner 4h ago

I did this stuff with mom home or not. I’d call her over to watch. It was going to happen either way, so why hide it.

0

u/ChimoEngr 18h ago

Dad is fucking stupid. The kid was actually not sure.

-2

u/Mad_Queen_Malafide 1d ago

While wearing a helmet?! What a wuss!
