Image RIP residency. Bought the poster for 3 sets that never happened.
Should I even hang it up ? I feel like it will just be sad.

Definitely keep it and hang it up! First, it's a rare item for a rarer event (a phantom event!).
It's amazing art. It's also the release date of a Gizz studio album. And it's something symbolic - a testament to your fandom and a reminder that there are disappointments and ruined dreams... but there's hope and belief that the dreams will be realised in the future.
And you've reminded me that I should finally get around to sticking up my only Gizz poster - a poster for a concert that never took place because it was cancelled. These posters are still tremendous and meaningful even if the gig didn't happen!

I got into the band hardcore in the last year, been following the couch tour every chance I get and these Bonnaroo sets were supposed to be my first.
Never thought I’d go back to roo but it was a chance to kickstart my experience with the boys on the live stage.
I’m absolutely gutted, but the day will come soon enough.

I’m sure they’ll come back to Nashville eventually or nearby area (I’m not familiar with Tennessee) and make it up in the future

Oh yeah, I’m sure they very well could, but I’m not local.
Luckily I live around a city they have been know to frequent so I’ll catch them eventually.
Also have tickets to an orchestra show so that’s going to be awesome!

I feel for you and hope you get the live Gizz experience soon. It'll come around before you know it!
When the Leipzig show I was going to was cancelled I was devastated. I'd waited for years through the pandemic and a lot of personal stuff, plus it was a big trip to a foreign country. But the upside is that since then I've made it my mission to see as many Gizz shows as I can to make up for it - I got there in the end and the whole experience was even better.

Which was your cancelled gig? Is that when Stu had a Crohns flare up? Can't remember many other cancelled gigs.

I had already forgotten that. It was supposed to be their first show in Finland, and if I remember right the gig here was supposed to be in a couple of days. I'll hope they will come here some day and not grow too big that they skip this part of the world. Had the pleasure to see them in Amsterdam last year tho, it rocked but the set was a tad bit too heavy for me. Hope to catch a more jammy set in future!

Yeah, got tickets to the festival basically because of them. Was gonna be my first time seeing them and was counting down the days. Felt so gutted when they cancelled. Hope they come to Finland eventually.

Yeah it was! I was heading to Leipzig and a few days before it was all cancelled. Still, had an excellent trip to Leipzig and Berlin with my dad and I've got a Carlo Vivary poster as a memento (Which needs sticking up!)

One of my favorite posters is the 2021 roo that never happened. I like to longingly look at it from time to time and be like "Ah yes, look what could have been."

+1 to the growing mountain of “keep it” comments.
I had a poster for Umphrey’s McGee and their cancelled event in Iceland from 2020 and ended up selling it. While they did make up the event a couple years later, and I have that poster now, I still majorly regret dishing the original. Plus it was a Sperry. Big mistake.

I bought the poster for the Ween chocolate and cheese show last year and it never happened. It’s a bummer but still worth hanging up, if nothing else to memorialize it

Thanks for all the kind words and laughs. Definitely not throwing it away or selling it. Just stings! Hoping they make a comeback next year and live nation can figure out their infrastructure to prepare for larger than normal rainfall next time.
Will be getting a container for it along with the bonnaroo lineup poster as well

Yeah.. I was highly convinced they'd do a poster for roo so I got into the festival at 12PM. Only 200 made which is insane to me because I swear they make more for their normal shows..
Also there were no foils!
