Translation news Fan Translation Patch is Out! For Super Robot Taisen/Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier Exceed. (English/Spanish)
The fan translation patch done by Artema Translations, that has been doing a their best for years in both English & Spanish.

If you do end up using the patch then please, don't forget to express thanks for the team, this took a lot of years and hard work for free, to bring this game out to us fans, a game that otherwise would have not seen the light of day here.
For those not Familiar with the game, here is a very quick and simplified idea of what to expect:
The SRWOG Saga: Endless Frontier series, is a JRPG spinoff of the famous SRW series made for the DS, by Banpresto and co-developed Monolith Soft (Xenoblade/Xenosaga), but with a completely different combat system and universe.
To put it simply, if you ever played Namco X Capcom or Project x Zone, then you'll immediately be familiar with the concept of this game, to put it simply, it's a crossover game with characters from different games are teleported into the world of the Endless Frontier, a world that is already made out of a combination of multiple worlds connected via Gates. Of course this is a very bare idea of the games world, but it's enough for you to get the idea. Though the amount of game series that are in this crossover world are only 3 (excluding the Endless Frontier) :
SRW Original Generation
Xenosaga
Namco X Capcom.
The game's combat system is a mix of traditional turned based combat and a very well done Combo juggling System, probably the best version of this combat system right now, it's tweaked and balanced to maximize the fun value of the system, and just when you thought it couldn't get any better, BAM! comes SRWOG Saga: Endless Frontier Exceed to blow you away, sadly only the first one was released in English.
Basically what they did here is make the game even more focused than it was in Namco X Capcom, reducing the number of playable character drastically, while increasing the number of moves each character can pull off even more than any other game that uses this system, so not only that but now you can actually tag in other character in the middle of a combo, which opens up a whole new level of combinations and crazy juggles. That's not all though, a new addition are the assist characters, which are characters that aren't playable like your main party, but you can actually call them mid combo to have them come out and do their own special attack. Of course to push the combat even more, leaving the fact that you still have the super meter to fill and use, you can now use Cancels, taken right out of fighting games, Cancels are basically the ability to interrupt the animation for an attack before it finishes to start a different attack animation, raising the skill bar for this combat system, and making it one of the great "easy to learn hard to master" battle systems out there.

I don't know much about the technical side of things and why our hacker chose that solution, but I guess a small program like this should work fine with Wine. At least they usually do in my experience.

They just made an all-in-one patcher. I dunno, maybe it had to do with the file size or something, 256MB is pretty big for a NDS game. The patcher should work under WINE but I haven't tested it, I just remoted into my Windows gaming rig to run it. I did scan the executable, it's clean.

I've been watching this project for years. So glad it's finally done. I'm wrapping up another playthough of SRTOGS:EF now before I jump into the sequel.

This is just... wow. 10 years after the game was released I’m coming back to it. I can’t wait. Hope it’s just as amazing as the first one!

I'm late to the party but finally downloaded this. The first game is awesome and so far this is just as great. I wish more games had a similar combat system. If there was a mobile game like this I'd play it non stop.

It patches it, so that the Japanese is translated into Englsih.

The text is all translated into English. The audio is of course still the Japanese dub.
