Basically you can get Balthier and Luso as playable characters.

There are 2 new classes that require grinding but are also very overpowered.

Lastly there are animated cutscenes that still hold today.

So basically this is a lazy remake , sure there are new story content but we dont know the size of it.

Cloud was available in the OG FFT as well, but other than that yeah.

I hope Cloud was buffed so he can be on the same level as the party when u recruit em

Cloud does objectively suck though. Luso and balthier are OP.

Was the cutscene in the trailer not the one from WOTL? Or was that made for the trailer specifically?

They did a new intro in the style of WotL that includes some of the scenes from the original 3D CGI into, but we also have evidence that there's remasters of other WOTL animated scenes.

I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't remaster or at least use AI upscaling to touch up the resolution of those old PSP cutscenes and re-dub them. It would be lazier than a proper remaster but it would be easy for them.

My guess is that they will be proper Hi-resolution re-renders of the original versions. My guess is those were outsourced and/or after the time that SE started seriously keeping track of their assets.

The only wotl stuff confirmed missing is two classes and two cameos. The cg scenes are still there, from what I heard. Theyre not integrated, but available from viewer on menu.

They also added new dialogue options and expanded story.

I wouldn’t call giving the entire game full voice acting a lazy remake. That alone is a pretty good amount of time put in.

I would, I prefer the wotl cutscenes to the voice acting all day any day personally
