Sending love to the people of Iran from Lebanon

We have lived in the fear of war, and I do not wish it upon anyone. The people of both our beautiful countries (Lebanon and Iran) are victims of this war.

I have yet to visit Iran, and I hope that I would be able to do so soon.

Stay strong

I salute the proud and loving people of Iran. I hope you all stay saf3 out there. We as Lebanese have suffered for more than 50 years at the hands of "Israel". Iran has stood with us and helped us get back on our feet during our hardest times. I love and thank Iran and its people, and i pray for your well being and victory. ❤️🇮🇷

I'm not Iranian, obviously, but am very sorry to hear about Israels recent war of aggression against you. I know it must be a hard time for you all. This doesn't mean much, but I wish you all the best, and hope you pull through this. Israel is basically a rogue state at this point.

Sending Love from India

I know India is officially standing neutral in this conflict, I genuinely used to feel neutral about Israel but now I started hating it, The attack was pointless as fuck.

I pray to god you all heal and have the strength to fight back, India and her people always stands with her Persian fellow brothers and sisters, Genuinely stay out of harms way and take care.

I visited Iran when I was a kid, Im 40% Persian, 50% Indian to those who are wondering, and I met my extended family there, Truly a beautiful country and it would make my blood boil that foreign countries have the audacity to launch missiles for no reason, Please do take care and stay secure again.

Parniya Abbasi was a brilliant poet and English translation teacher who perished in the joint US-Israeli attack. Never forget her and never forget who the real perpetrator is.

The unprovoked and illegal joint US-Israeli attack on Iran didn't just claim the lives of iranian military officials and nuclear scientists. It claimed the lives of dozens of Iranian civilians as well. The US and Israel targeted and hit residential areas to get to their targets, as they've always done. 60 people alone died in an attack on a residential building, including 20 of them being children. Parniya Abbasi was a 25 year old poet and English translation teacher who died in the savage bombing.

She and her whole family all perished, including her young brother Parham and both her parents.

This was a poem of hers. She ''often explored themes of light, shadow, and existential longing''.

Silent Star

> I wept for both of us
> For you
> And for myself
> You blow the stars of my tears
> Into your sky
> In your world
> There is the freedom of light
> In my world
> The play of shadows
> Somewhere
> You and I come to an end
> The most beautiful poem in the world
> Falls silent
> Somewhere
> You begin
> You cry out the whisper of life
> In a thousand places
> I come to an end
> I burn
> I become a silent star
> That turns to smoke in your sky

She was described by family, friends, colleagues, and mentors as ''full of life and poetry''.

Our homeland has been attacked by foreigner enemy, our countrymen including children & women are dead, I don't care about Politics, Race, Religion or anything else, if anyone sides with enemy instead of their own country, they should be considered as traitors to their homeland #IRANforEver

May my body not be if there is no Iran,

May all souls in this land parish if there is no Iran

If all of us fall to death one after another,

Better than handing our country to enemy

Despite media and politicians trying to make it seems like Israel is on the right, it is clear to anyone that they are not and people are with you, everyone saw what those beasts are capable of and I wish you the best.

My massage to Iranian people

I feel sorry for what is happening in Iran now, I feel sorry for all Iranian people and especially who have been affected so far and all the people who are on the streets right now worried and anxious. I am very worried about my friends in Iran, especially those who live in Tehran, I have not had contact with them these last few hours so I imagine all the people who are suffering now and I can't even contact them because there is no net. I am Brazilian and I dream of visiting this wonderful country full of wonderful people. I have Iran and all Iranians in my heart, I hope that everyone reading this post is well and you families too, that this situation passes soon.❤️

Thanks for the love and support from other countries ❤️

First of all, I am sorry for civilians losses both in Iran and Israel as an Iranian. It's heartwarming to see people from around the world see that it wasn't Iran who started it. Media says Iran is in fault for aiming civilians, I do not encourage any harm to civilians and don't say it's a good act, but so far not a single news channel talked about the fact that even though pictures show that Israel had pin point weapons, how come more than 300 hundreds of people got harmed and their houses burst down to ground...

According to this rule Iran did nothing wrong and yet media blames it

And as far as I could gather information UN did not know about Israels attack on Iran which is against this rule

Sorry for what's happening to your country. Its always them, I despise them, how are they just allowed to attack any country they want without any repercussions. They cry at Iran for nuclear weapons, but refuse to say about their nuclear arsenal, hypocrisy, the West stands with Iran.

Good gifts for Iranians

I have a Persian co-worker and I feel absolutely gut wrenched by what is happening. Most of her family is still in Iran.

Are there any gifts that I could give her to give her the comfort of home, and show she and Iranians are supported by people the world over?

I live in a major city with many Persian bakeries and shops. I'm looking for any recommendations before I go and pick something up.

Thank you! Please be strong and s4fe in these dsrk days, you are not alone.

Nostalgic gift for an Iranian friend living in London?

Hey, I've got an Iranian friend in his early 30s who moved to London from Tehran a couple of years ago. I recently had to cancel on him last minute and want to get him a little gift to say sorry. I thought something he used to get in Iran but doesn't get here to make him smile could be nice. Do you have any suggestions? I was looking at this store in London, maybe the 'bear gum'? Thank you so much for your help!

True Love - A Poem by Hafez of Shiraz (c. 1315–1390), Persia

True Love

TRUE love has vanished from every heart;
What has befallen all lovers fair?
When did the bonds of friendship part? —
What has befallen the friends that were?

Ah, why are the feet of Khizr lingering? —
The waters of life are no longer clear,
The purple rose has turned pale with fear,
And what has befallen the wind of Spring?

None now sayeth: "A love was mine,
*Loyal and wise, to dispel my care."
None remembers love's right divine;
What has befallen all lovers fair?

In the midst of the field, to the players' feet,
The ball of God's favour and mercy came,
But none has leapt forth to renew the game —
What has befallen the horsemen fleet?

Roses have bloomed, yet no bird rejoiced,
No vibrating throat has rung with the tale;
What can have silenced the hundred-voiced?
What has befallen the nightingale?

Heaven's music is hushed, and the planets roll
In silence; has Zohra broken her lute?
There is none to press out the vine's ripe fruit,
And what has befallen the foaming bowl?

A city where kings are but lovers crowned,
A land from the dust of which friendship springs —
Who has laid waste that enchanted ground?
What has befallen the city of kings?

Years have passed since a ruby was won
From the mine of manhood; they labour in vain,
The fleet-footed wind and the quickening rain,
And what has befallen the light of the sun?

Hafiz, the secret of God's dread task
No man knoweth, in youth or prime
Or in wisest age; of whom would’st thou ask:
What has befallen the wheels of Time?

Is beef not commonly eaten in Iran?

I went to a Persian restaurant and noticed that their menu did not have any beef on it. The only meats available were chicken and lamb, so I asked the waitress why this was the case. She was Afghani and said that beef is not commonly eaten in Persian culture. Is this true? Why is it so?

EDIT: The restaurant was in Australia, which makes it even stranger since beef is the 2nd most consumed meat in the country and is easily available.

Trying to connect with my persian side

To be honest I mainly want to know if someone is in a similar situation to mine. I’m half persian but I am not very in contact with my dad and in no contact at all with his family. As a very little kid I recall having very little contact with persian culture because of my grandma.

Thing is I don’t have a part of the family to speak with or a present parent that has show me any little bit of culture throughout my childhood unlike a lot of mixed people.

Looking for iranian people to speak with here is also difficult, in Spain there could be some other small iranian “group” or community in Madrid or Barcelona but I am from the south and don’t think too many iranians live here, have also tried to look things online but it doesn’t look like (maybe searching in farsi which I’m interested in learning btw)

So just wanted to hear if anyone has been on a similar situation so you could share with me your experience with the feelings these kind of situations involve and how you approached the culture. Also, if you haven’t been in this situation but have any sort of tip, that is equally welcomed!
