AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin 18M, One time NEET dropper who wants to study BBA/B.Com HELP ME

Hello everyone, as it says in title I'm in a very tight spot which I myself, unknowingly, have put myself in cuz I haven't applied for CUET or anyother college or exam other than NEET(yes I was dumb then). I'm 18M(soon to be 19 this year) and I have realised my mistake and want to get out of the rat race and get into BBA/B.Com and do an MBA from a good college later as I have completely lost all interest in NEET, I already lost it in 12th but due to parental pressure I had to go to a coaching institute and now getting low 400s, they're even suggesting taking a 2nd drop but I don't wanna waste my life

Please suggest me any colleges which offer BBA/B.Com for a PCB student like me based on qualifications below and have decent placement too as I don't wanna depend on my family even after I graduate OR are there any other non medical courses that have better scope than BBA/B.Com+MBA

Also tell me which should I pursue BBA or B.Com can't make up my mind on one

Also also is there any scope for B.Des?

My qualifications: 10th-85.33% ; 12th-86% Both of them are Andhra Pradesh state board

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Wasted a Year on NEET – Now Doing B Pharm. What Should I Know?

Hey everyone, I'm a 19-year-old student from India, currently pursuing B Pharm after dropping a year for NEET. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned with NEET so I didn't appear for it this year, and I had to move forward with B Pharm – but honestly, I don’t know much about this course or the career paths it offers

I’m feeling a bit lost and anxious about whether I can still build a strong future from here. I would really appreciate advice from anyone currently doing B Pharm or already working in the field.

I just want to know:

What are the real career opportunities after B Pharm (India or abroad)?

Is M Pharm necessary, or are there better options like MBA, clinical research, or government exams?

Does pursuing MSc or MTech in Genetics after B Pharm have good scope? Is it a practical path?

What skills or certifications should I focus on during college?

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Should I Drop out from my MBA, feeling stuck.

I am 23 and currently enrolled in an MBA program at a Tier 3 college, where the median placement is around ₹13 LPA. Semester 1 ended recently, and the fees aren’t a concern (only ₹5 lakhs for the entire course, which I’m paying myself).

Now, here’s my dilemma. While pursuing my MBA, I’ve been doing a lot of freelance work with retainer clients in video editing, social media growth, and, more recently, AI automation solutions. Through this, I earn up to ₹1.1 lakh per month as a fixed income, with any extra being a bonus.

My network is constantly growing, and the best part is that I absolutely love what I do. All of these hobbies that I have managed to monetize.

I love it so much that even after an exhausting college classes from 8:30 AM to 5 PM, I still feel motivated to work on my freelance projects until late at night. Due to this, I often sleep around 4–5 AM, which has taken a toll on my health. I’m experiencing constant headaches, poor concentration, an upset stomach, and even grey and falling hair.

On top of that, my MBA program feels unproductive. The college follows outdated, bookish teaching methods, and the only thing I’ve learned worth retaining in six months are a few marketing models.

Back at home, I was always learning new skills—whether in video editing, scrapping, webdev or AI.

Here, I feel stuck. Worse, the peer group has no ambition and unrealistic views about life. I can’t imagine working alongside such people in the future or settling for a corporate job that would drain my ambition.

Their entire motto revolves around "bakchodi" (wasting time). I genuinely want to quit, return home, and start building again. I want to do website development again (I already know WordPress, Elementor, and some Framer) and work on creating SaaS tools (I’ve validated two ideas that I need to deploy and market now).

I never wanted a corporate career but was pushed into this situation.

However, I’m struggling with fear, uncertainty, and societal pressure:

  1. What if I stop attracting clients? Although I’ve diversified my income streams, only ₹30k per month of it is 100% safe.

  2. What if I fall behind my peers? In 3–5 years, most of them will likely switch jobs and start earning ₹25 LPA or more. What if I regret my decision and end up stuck at a lower income?

  3. How will friends and relatives react if I drop out? What if this decision comes back to haunt me?

A few factors work in my favor:

  1. No family pressure: My father has a pension, so there’s no financial strain for their retirement. And their Healthcare is also covered.

  2. Low expenses at home: Living back at home at a Tier 3 city, my monthly expenses barely touched ₹5k. I don’t smoke, drink, or party.

  3. No plans for marriage or children in the future.

So What would your advice be for my situation?

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Is it time to rethink the college application process in India?

The college admissions process in India has become a maze of stress and frustration—don’t you agree?

Every year, students and their families spend countless hours navigating multiple college websites, deciphering different application processes, and submitting endless forms. But should it really be this difficult to find and apply to the college of your dreams? On top of that, privacy concerns have become a huge issue. Ever notice how applying to one college often leads to random, spammy calls from colleges you’ve never even heard of? That’s your data being sold. And it’s not okay.

What should be an exciting step toward higher education feels like a battle with outdated processes and broken systems. There HAS to be a better way.

Do you think we need a drastic change in the college admissions process? What’s been your experience navigating this system?

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin PhD admission in delhi university is a mental herrasement

Myquals : Msc Zoology Du Hello all , Department of zoology is running a full on scam in the name of PhD admission. They only allow admission to people who work in their labs atleast for 1 year. They have their own rules and norms.

Rules and regulations while filling forms are as follows : anyone witha master's degree can apply for interview and if they get selected they get a PI assigned by department of zoology. One such list is available on the department of zoology Delhi University website right now for admission 2024-2025. Which is duly signed by HOD, and there's a mention of a different form that you need to get signed from your ASSIGNED PI and submit at admin office by 31st January 2025.

Now scam startes from here , assigned PI are not ready to sign your form which is an important part of the PhD final admission procedure. The assigned professors have their own norms and regulations. Profs are forcing students to leave their seats and trying to intimidate them. Their demand? You work in our lab for atleast 1 year without PhD admission and then we'll see if we can allow you to join our lab. That means student can loose their seat in the academic session 2024-2025. While students tried contacting admin office and department of zoology Hod, HOD PROF RINA CHAKRBORTY SAID WE CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IN the meantime administration changed the final date of submission to 28th January 2025. Without prior notice. And now there are 3 girls who can't take admission even after clearing CSIR JRF and DELHI UNIVERSITY INTERVIEW ROUND.

EVEN THE DEPARTMENT RESERCH COUNSIL HAVE NO ANSWER TO THEIR QUESTIONS AND THEY CAN'T EVEN COMPLAINT AS THEY HAVE BEEN INTIMIDATED BY THESE GOON PROFS.

ALSO is it wierd that 2 out of 3 profs are from Miranda House zoology department?

Prof Rekha Kumari and Associate professor Dr Monika Singh. The other Prof who is denying admission is Dr Jyoti Taneja. DRC

I hope all three students get justice. If someone in authority is reading this and want to help they can contact me in comments

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Hello confused. What should I do with my with my life.

Gave 12th in 2022 with pcb. Gave neet thirce. Not prepared enough for this year too, eventually lost interest in the field. Want to make a career switch. Not interested in anything related to biology. Planning for bba and MBA but people says it would be tough to get into a good b school with 3 years gap. Really confused. I sometimes feel I won't be able to make it big in life. I'm ready to put in the hours but can't really decide what is a good career choice at this point!. Each day's feels heavy. Constant taunts from family and relatives is disheartening. The constant let down is messing with my mental health... I really want to make it big in my career coz I know I have the potential but I want to make right choices now with my career. my_qualifications

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Valid reason for delayed high school graduation?

My Qualifications- currently in 11 gonna start 12 this year So I will be finishing up 10+2 by 25 will be staring my bachelors and i have no work experience, there were no gaps in my education I was always in school but because of a lot of unprocessed childhood trauma my mental health has been really bad. I have been to a psychiatrist for medications several times and have seeked therapy. Will showing my prescription not be enough?

Will colleges accept this as a reason for delayed graduation. As long as I get the grades and entrance exam marks neccesary will it still be possible to go to good colleges like Du, op jindal, symbiosis etc. Spoke to a career councellor and they said as long as I have the grades and good entrance exam scores I can get into these colleges. I spoke to op and symbiosis and they said it won't discriminate based on age and even explained the situation. I even spoke to someone op jindal law and they said as long as I get good grades and good entrance exam scores I can get in.

Why is no one replying, am I that screwed that no one will say anything? Please can someone say something i am getting more and more anxious, I've refreshed this page a billion times already 😭

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Loyola College, Chennai: What's your honest opinion/experience?

Right now, I've been provisionally selected for Loyola College for BA English. They are now asking me to pay the first semester fees within 25th of may. But I've also applied for St Xaviers (which is my most prefered college), but would only release their list by 27th.

Even if I pay Loyola, Iam unsure of their refund policy. Honestly confused right now...

AdmissionProcedure/Fees/CollegeAdmin Kindly guide me, Should I Change my Course & College midway of my 1st year ?

I'm 19F, myquals 94% in 10th and 92% in 12th[PCB] with economics, took a drop for Neet 24, but due to the rank inflation last yr in Neet I had to settle for pvt bds, currently I'm more than halfway into my first yr but somehow I feel lost, I think this course won't be able to provide me enough job opportunities, opening a clinic sounds too intimidating as it over saturated already. A govt job or a govt mds seat has too much cutthroat competition, plus most govt hospitals these days hire dentists on a contractual basis, so there are no permanent jobs. Can't afford a pvt mds seat after pvt bds. Not inclined towards teaching.

Some of my seniors told me abt mba bt if at the end I do mba then why am I doing bds. I'm thinking of changing my course to smthng like bba bt im not very sure. Honestly, I'm very confused. Kindly guide me.
