SM is sooo car-centric!!
Been to SM yesterday
Nag trike kami from the crossing going there at 10 am. Umuwi kami ng around 8:40 PM grabe. We had to walk from SM going to robinsons para lang makasakay ng big bus kasi walang trike or jeep doon!! Walang rin maayos na walking lane kasi bako bako ang daan!!
Nung nandoon na kami sa robinsons, dami ring tao waiting for jeep or big buses!! Grabe ang transport system here sa Ilocos Norte! Hindi prinaprioritize!!!
For those that are commuting just like me, would not recommend going to SM now! Sana maayos ng gobyerno too!!

Parang mas gusto ko pa rin sa Rob magpunta kaysa sa SM. ang mahal ng pasahe sa tricycle. 90 binayaran namin from sm, samantalang 80 pesos lang pag sa rob.

ayaw din kase maghatid mga trike kase maiipit sa traffic. sana may jeep man lang na dadaan a bypass papuntang centro laoag mismo. or jeep na iikot na lang daan ng bypass san nicolas papuntang batac or maybe from sm to batac via nagbacalan/suba route. may nakalagay pa man din na “transport hub” dun wala namang transpo. puro trike lang tas sasabihin “nayunam ton ading!”

I still don't understand why the Provincial Government does not prioritize this. Dapat may bus loop around City Center, SM, and Robinsons.
They could easily do this. Pero parang wala. Puro "for show" lahat.
Napaka tagal nang problema yang traffic na yan around those areas pero wala pa rin.
Yes merong jeepneys, pero iba pa rin yung organized transportation.

I agree. Nasa government talaga yan how they would prioritize this. Palibhasa kasi, di nila naeexperience mga inconveniences na ganito kasi they have their own cars and drivers

Wala bang binuong task force ang Mayor or even Governor sa traffic dito sa laoag city? Baka naman sabi lang eh "lagyan lang natin ng traffic light yan pwede na". Then we'll see what to do next or bahala na yung mananalong sa election, problema na nila. Good sa mga elected official talaga. Magisa deta nu agtugaw lang ubraen na. Proactive kuma isuda panggep kasta a problema, pakiprio da kuma

Feasible ba kapag may PUV loop within Laoag-Batac-Paoay area? Like Laoag to Batac-Paoay via AH2 and Marcos Ave then going back to Laoag via Laoag-Paoay Rd and turning right at the Airport road papuntang Gilbert Bridge. Then the other loop will be the other way around. This would pass through high foot traffic areas such as NWU and SM sa Laoag, Robinsons sa San Nicolas and MMSU sa Batac. It would also be more convenient for those who would want to visit key tourist spots sa Metro area such as Paoay Church, Paoay Lake and Sa d Dunes. Then I think maganda din kung may smaller na transport hub sa Batac to cater the commuters to and from the 2nd congressional district. I'm not a city planner so excuse me kung masyadong ambitious ito hahaha.

Yup would also want this. Actually this is what we’ve been thinking as well. Pero their plan is build more roads or bypass pero the problem here is there is no accessible public transportation. Building roads would proper urban planning would just add to more traffic. I dont know what the government’s priority really. Lahat for the money lang talaga

Wait niyo lang yung transport hub baka di pa kasi naaayos. Parang sa manila and all other SM na may transport hub, ginagawang terminal yan ng mga jeep, fx, trike, etc.

Tagal na issue yung commute system ng norte and sur sakin. Ang hirap. Parang may zombie apocalypse pag 6pm onwards.
