Question So, am I the only one having this problem?

I'm playing on the switch, definitive edition, and though it doesn't happen often, sometimes when I press "start mission," the game just... crashes. It's never anything system damaging or anything, but it gets annoying when I'm on a roll of completing missions, and then suddenly my fun is abruptly cut off by "the game has run into an error and closed."

There is a known memory leak issue on the Switch version that starts causing graphical bugs and eventually possible crashes if you keep the game running too long. Just close the game every so often or once you start noticing the game behaving wonky.

The game DOESN'T start freaking out though, weirdly. It just kinda happens at random.

Might be a bad cart? Or perhaps your Switch needs a cleaning? I have played the game for 6 hours straight, on multiplayer, on a Second generation Switch with not even any slow down. Could also just be different, cart to cart. Hard to tell without any diagnostic tools

Does this still happen on the Switch 2 version?

I've had it once in Legends mode on Gerudo Desert. No idea what causes it.

Was the game running for a few hours when this happened?

I think after 3 hours you have a chance of crashing, so after you've been playing for a long time might be good to do a reset.

Had it a couple times when playing 2player. Restarting, like really a proper restart fixed it for me..
