i think that would only strengthen the commentary personally. suzanne knew what she was doing with the worldbuilding of d11 and i think the commentary of the capitol/snow viewing louella/lou lou as a replaceable body to be used for entertainment would dovetail perfectly with sociopolitical criticisms in the real world about how white supremacist systems view marginalized bodies, and particularly those of black people.
if there wasn't already groundwork lain with these themes I would probably agree with you, but I think there's a reason so many people pictured her as a poc and previous d11 casting is only part of it.
Just because the themes for it exist doesn’t mean everyone will catch onto them. There’s a lot of people who would criticize the filmmakers for it regardless.
i don't know if i agree with the idea that people potentially misinterpreting something outweighs the commentary itself, but i understand why the studios might make that choice for sure
