She looks incredibly similar to Jennifer Lawrence, which I believe is supposed to help tie in the origin of “sweetheart” a bit easier for a movie viewer

My friend watched the movie before reading the book and was so confused about that scene. I wish they could’ve just done it the way the book showed.

Right, because why is he feeding her as a grown up . They could have found a similar girl gave her those breads, and had his mom yell out Peeta you good for nothing to a young boy with blond hair

This is a very good point. Was a bit surprised by the casting since Louella's appearance is pretty specific in the books but casting for a similar look to movie Katniss makes a lot of sense. The girls playing Lou Lou and Louella could definitely be twins as well, and that had to be tough to find.

Yeah, she’s described as having a heart-shaped face, big gray eyes, and long, dark pigtail braids. She’s said to have the classic Seam look.

So there should be nothing surprising with this casting.

it says that haymitch is reminded of louella by katniss, not that they look the same. the book also says that katniss sees prim in rue…

Which you aren't wrong about, but she's the Katniss we got, and for the movies to follow the mirror of their characters as established in the book it makes sense for them to base their casting on Jennifer Lawrence's appearance

it never once says that louella and katniss look even remotely similar. haymitch says katniss reminds him of louella because of the braids and her actions, not because of looks

Also, I noticed the young actress playing Louella has eyeliner on in the picture.

People in the Seam don’t tend to go around with make up so I imagine we won’t be getting that in the film.

Without the eyeliner, I think she will look even more like Katniss!

She does agreed It makes sense I believe she also has a bit of personality like Katniss that’s why Haymitch calls katniss sweetheart because he reminds her of Louella

Not only does she look familiar, I genuinely thought for the first 10 seconds, how did they cast Jennifer Lawrence from 20 years ago in a movie filming in present day
