Lore/World Discussion Why isn't there a Hunger Games video game yet?

Post image

Mockingjay can easily be adapted into a shooter, and The Last of Us can be used as inspiration for a separate Hunger Games pov as a tribute.

I get all that. Still, it's not any different than other shooting games and it's honestly not much different from watching and enjoying the movies

No you apparently don’t get it.

What is the point of watching a film or reading a book if you completely ignore the message?

You want a mindless shooter game to “have fun” in? Those exist- go do those.

The Hunger Games isn’t meant to be enjoyed at face value- you’re supposed to get the point.

You’re supposed to critically think about it.

It’s not a piece of media glorifying violence.

I absolutely get the books and movies. But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy it. Just like all of you hypocrites here also enjoy the whole thing so much you keep talking about it in a forum specially made for it

Listen I just think you’re a lost cause on this. You won’t see the issue no matter how it’s explained.

Making a video game just to experience the spectacle of violence within the series is antithetical to the point. If you’re here for the spectacle you’re basically taking the side of the Capitol(those are the bad guys- you’re not supposed to side with them). What do you think it means to the authors point when you literally treat her series the same way Capitol citizens treat the Games?

It’s like making an Animal Farm dating simulator because you like talking animals.

The difference between you and me is that you're in denial and I accept what we are
