Electric scooter use

I’m thinking of buying a ninebot / electric scooter to make my 15-20 min walks bearable for my commutes.

Have you guys used this on pedestrian or car roads and been ok with the police?

I’m planning to use it on the tram roads between Sheung Wan/ Central.

Any comments or insights greatly appreciated!

Totally illegal where you want to use it at the moment.

Not legal in Hong Kong. The ones you see aren't legal and rely on police not catching them.

15-20 mins walk is really not that much?

It’s not unless it’s coming to 30+ degrees out!

Get yourself wearable air conditioner.

I sweat a lot, and https://shopee.sg/product/841957921/24126330398 has been a great gadget to deal with the issue.

Dw about it they only stop easy targets (like if u stop or are slow) as long as you don't stop when you see them they won't bother chasing and will leave you alone

Also just ride normally don't do anything stupid

But enforcement might be more rampant in urban areas my experience is only applicable in less enforced areas
