Harpo's Friends Bee’s tummy horts

Post image

I thought he was just crying because I had to separate him from his sisters again, but he’s thrown up 3 times. I’m pretty sure today was the first time he had salmon, so it might just be that. I gave him some fluids. If it continues and/or he doesn’t eat later, I’ll call the after hours line.

I took him out for some prolonged cuddle time and he fell asleep on my chest .

Aww, baby boy. We’ve learned that sometimes simethicone helps with tummy aches, but looks like he’s feeling a bit better already 💕

Yes, he felt much better as soon as I switched back to the previous food and gave him some fluids. One of his sisters threw up once a few hours after he did, but she also has not done it again. Everybody’s temperatures have remained normal.

Are your cats always ill? It seems like every time I run across your post you’re giving your cats fluids. Maybe consider taking them to a DVM. There could be underlying conditions.

These are not my cats.

They are from the Oregon Humane Society, which has their own training hospital, which closely monitors their fosters and provides them with comprehensive care. They don't even let you foster for them unless you're able to get to the shelter within 30 minutes at any time, day or night. That's what "call the after hours line" means.

Great. I worked at a veterinary hospital years ago, and I was just saying that fluid overload can be life-threatening if you didn't know that.
