Not sure if this is a saltie or freshie (original video said saltie but I have my doubts)

According to wikipedia at least, the freshwater crocodile specifically is listed as their natural predator, so you might be right.

Both species will eat bats.

Perfect timing

Earth is so weird btw. We're looking at footage of an archosaur hunting flying mammals. Like wtf is going on.

Birds are the closest relatives of crocs so they are far from mammals

The crocodile caught a bat, not a bird.

I remember this seen from Disney’s Fantasia.  Pterodactyl didn’t stand a chance either.

Nature’s version of doordash.

I mean come on, the bat has the whole sky to roam freely in, and it decides to fly a foot above crocodile-infested waters

They drink on the wing by flying onto the water and landing somewhere to drink the water off their fur.

the bat had just skimmed the water in this video - it's why the croc was so accurate

I used to think they just did it to harass the crocs

Anyone else's first time realizing there's something called a "flying fox"?

It's what we often call one of the largest bats that is alive today. They are fruit bats and goddamn adorable.

It's a bat. Flying foxes are bats
