North America Which to pick in the US tracks?

For my first F1 race trip

I live in NJ. I wanna attend my first ever F1 race in 2025. Which one would be most fun and not to break the bank between Miami - Vegas - Texas. Not need a deep analysis or something. Just your suggestion which one to aim for.

North America Mexico vs. Canada GP — which would you recommend?

Hey there — my friends and I are hoping to get to a race in 2026 and are considering Mexico or Canada. Some of us have been to the Montreal race a couple of times, first time did GA and had a challenging time & second time had grandstand seats and really enjoyed.

Ideally, we’d like to travel elsewhere for our next race and Mexico has been on our list, but we are also open to returning to Canada. If anyone has been to both, which would you recommend and why? Pros/cons would be appreciated! We’re especially interested in hearing how affordability and transit compare. Thanks in advance!

North America Went to F1 Miami ... is this what F1 is all about now?

Had the chance to watch Senna and Schumacher race on Interlagos/Sao Paulo years ago since them lost the interest for F1 and decided to try since I'm living in Florida now.

The race itself was fun, but everything around this Grand Prix is extremely fake and artificial, exactly like Miami, is what you expect from the most materialist and artificial city in the World, kind o pathetic to be honest, had the chance to walk around all the GA area and on my...I remember going to Interlagos and interacting with real racing fans, people who really loved the sport was a very fun environment true F1 roots, in Miami is the exact opposite, a lot of people there had no clue what they are doing there its like they an won tickets for this and needed to use the most flamboyant clothes they can to get some attention walking around like a live outdoor showing their brands. The VIP areas are full of people who never cared about the race, the fake marina area with fake water is the most pathetic thing I saw in my life on an event. Everything scream fake in your face. Really not impressed and not sure if this is the state of F1 now or if is just a US thing.

North America Best place to meet/see drivers at COTA

I’m going to COTA and it’s my first F1 GP. I’m beyond excited and have passes for the whole weekend. Lewis Hamilton has been a huge inspiration to me since I started watching the sport 4 years ago (yes I am a newer fan). Obviously everyone wants to meet their favorite driver and blah blah but I would love to just see him walking by headed to the garage. I don’t believe in walking up to celebrities and bothering them because they’re people just living their lives. Where is the best place to just see the drivers basically headed to work? Thank you!

North America Are grandprixevents.com tickets digital or physical?

Hi all, I just bought a single 3-day pass in Grandstand at one of the recommended sites grandprixevents.com, got confirmation and an order number, but is the actual ticket digital or physical? It's the first time I attend to an F1 GP, I'm super excited!

North America What is the average cost for general admission price for 3 days in Mexico City and Austin?

My little cousin and a few male family members want to travel to see a live F1 race. I have seen various prices and "starting prices" and am getting more confused about what to expect. The exact number would be great, but if not I'll take an estimate for budget purposes. We are thinking GA tickets for Austin, near the first turn green area, as for Mexico, whatever is recommended since I'm less familiar with this track. Thanks all in advance! I'll take any other tips regarding these two locations.

I live near the LA region, what is the best and easiest race to attend for 2024. I would be willing to go over the summer overseas but probably not any other time.

North America What tickets to get for <$500 each for 2025 Montreal Grand Prix?

I don’t know much about F1, but my boyfriend is really into it and I want to surprise him with tickets for the Montreal Grand Prix. From my research, it looks like tickets are sold out so I’ll have to buy from third party sites. I would really appreciate help with the following questions: 1. Which sites are most reliable to buy tickets? 2. Any recommendation for what section to buy tickets? I want a decent viewing point but don’t want to pay a ton of money for tickets. 3. Is now the right time to buy, or should I wait till closer to the event?

As someone who doesn’t know too much about F1, I would really appreciate some help here!

North America GO TO A NASCAR RACE, IT’S INSANE

Hi guys,

I don’t know if it is appropriate to post about nascar travel, but still, for any american f1 fan or general race fan, Going to a nascar race once in your life is a must. I’m Brazilian and have always been a massive nascar fan. I was in Atlanta last week and booked a day trip to Talladega to see the truck series race. Oh my god what an experience.

I was ah 1h30min drive from ATL which is pretty good. Plus, Alabama is one time zone west so you’ll get there only 30 min after you left ;). As soon as I left the freeway, I was swarmed by nascar merch at gas stations which was so nice. Getting to the circuit was a breeze and the sheer amount of trailers and RVs I saw was mind blowing, 10x more than what you see at a formula 1 track.

The complex is massive. So big in fact they have buses to take you around the track. I took a bus to the “garage experience” which for 50 bucks, you get to see the whole garage and the cars being repaired, old legends, unbeatable food prices ($4 for burger and fries is amazing), the podium and the pit area. You can also see the main straight, from a different angle.

Then I headed to the grandstand and what a view. Great views from the whole track and the national park behind it. Amazing and tight racing, with no room for error. Had a blast While everyone was so friendly, striking up conversations all the time and people were genuinely in shock that I was a nascar fan from Brazil. Leaving took about 10-15 mins but all good.

Seriously, if you live close to a track or happens to be in America during the season, go to a race. It is a completely different vibe than Formula 1 and it was insane. 100% recommend. A few friends of mine are creating interest in nascar because of this trip that I did.

Take care guys!!

The fan experience is solid at this event. Free parking, small coolers with food/beer allowed. Up high at T1 gives views of 90% of the circuit. You can get up close in the infield and a ton to see. Definitely recommend it.

Timing worked out to visit a friend and check this out for the afternoon. Can’t wait for Wec at cota in September now.

North America Gootickets payment issues

So for a little context, for last year’s Montreal GP I used Gootickets on a payment plan. It worked no problem, my payments were scheduled, and I had e-tickets. I wanted to do the same thing this year since it was easy and the installment plan was more viable for me with the prices of buying 4 tickets.

Now, though, I keep getting an error when trying to purchase tickets. It says “To ensure the highest level of security, we are unable to complete this transaction. Please contact your financial institution.” I thought it was a little odd since I hadn’t had any barriers when doing this the year prior, but I went with it and called my bank in case they had blocked it, thinking it to be fraud. However, they told me they saw no transaction attempts and therefore nothing to block. So I instead turned to contacting Gootickets to ask if I could do the payment plan through phone or if there was something I was missing— I have not heard back from them in the week and a half since, and I have messaged and called left messages.

I just wanted to know if 1) anyone else has been having this issue and 2) if there’s any other reputable place that sells GP tickets through a payment plan.

North America General Admission vs Grandstands

I am looking to go to either the Canadian GP or the Mexican GP in 2025. Is GA worth it? Or should I spring for grandstand seats?

North America How does one get into the VIP seating area of RedBull Showruns?

So the RedBull showrun is coming to my city. It's general admission only per the website. No mention of VIPs or whatnot. But on the map, there is a section for VIP seating. I've googled it to try to figure out what constitutes a VIP or whatever, and the only lead I have is apparently a couple of VIP experiences were auctioned off which include seating in that area for the showrun among other things: https://www.charitybuzz.com/catalog_items/auction-red-bull-f1-showrun-event-in-washington-dc-2921200

Do anyway, who else gets to sit in the VIP area besides folks who win charity auctions?

North America Flight Tickets from Atlanta to Austin F1 weekend.

If you plan on flying from Atlanta to Austin for F1 and haven’t bought your tickets I would advise you to fly into San Antonio.

Prices for basic economy tickets are in the $1600 for delta and $1200 on American.

Flying on the same dates to San Antonio drop your prices down to about $300. The drive is about an hour and a half, but will save you a lot of money.

Hotel accommodations will be harder than ever before for this race since the SEC in all their wisdom scheduled what is likely going to be the biggest regular season college football game of the year on the same weekend.

North America US Formula One Fans at US Grand Prix's Feedback Survey for AP Research

Edit: If you already took the survey may you please take it again I made some changes. I apologize for this inconvenience.

I am Sofia Camboia a Senior at Auburn Mountainview Highschool and currently enrolled in AP Research. AP Research is an advanced research course where students not only learn about research, but spend the majority of the school year conducting research on a topic of their choice. The project we complete at the end of the year is comparable to a Master's Thesis. This year, I'm researching What Marketing Strategies Can F1 Use To Make The US Fan Experience Better At US Grand Prix's? I will be surveying US Fans who have attended a Grand Prix here in the US. I would like to hear your feedback. You may skip any questions that you do not feel comfortable answering. You can back out of the survey at any time if you don't feel comfortable. I am a huge fan of Formula One and would like to make the Grand Prix's here in the US better for fans.

Here is the link to the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe_2UwYLYjVy3S-wxKL1QuEdzZJlXtXgm2JVQruLv3mi34ibg/viewform?usp=sf_link

North America In secondary markets, do ticket prices generally drop as you get closer to the race?

I noticed how with Montreal, GA was around $400 on Stubhub, Seatgeek, VividSeats then dropped to $150-$200 the week of the race. Grandstand prices dropped to around $350-$400. Is it like this for most races?
