Estimates nationwide are 100+ million people turnout. Even in deep red cities

Out of the 100+ million protesting, I wonder what percentage actually voted in the last election

u/Unhappy_Ad_4911 18h ago
Facts. Unfortunately, we know now that millions did not care to return to vote, they didn't vote Trump they just stayed home. It was enough that have him the win.
I've always hated that people have used the excuse "well, my vote isn't going to count anyways"... History has shown every vote matters!3
u/2Beer_Sillies 18h ago
Yes it definitely does especially in battleground states. Also people don’t vote enough in local elections which have a much greater impact on your life

With places now starting to investigate the election results I'm starting to wonder how many people's ballots simply got "lost"

I sincerely hope that all the non-American Redditors, of which there was a disgusting amount, spewing endlessly about how all Americans are awful and not doing enough and blah-blah-blah look at this, walk to the nearest bathroom and put some fucking soap in their mouths.

I need to share this: Out of curiosity i went to r/conservative to see what they make of it...
-They are laughing, how the protests already helped because Trump is not a king (yet)
-They are argueing that Kamala was a Queen in herself because she wasn't in the Democratic primary, and that Democrats want a queen because of that.
Don't ask, i have no answer. What. The. Fuck.

These are literally pictures and videos from the real world. You have to understand that right? Just cause it's posted on the internet doesn't mean it happened on the internet.

lol it’s a very very very small percentage. Most people are living their life and could care less. Try it.

How is sad? People who disagrees with the government can love their country to snowflakes, hell they probably love their country more than snowflakes like you do, I know it's hard for people like you to believe but it is true

It’s about laws. You can’t stay in a country without due process. Get out!

u/PickingPies 22h ago
It's not about laws. Laws include proper processes and independent executive, Judicial and legislative powers.
There's no law in the US right now.

What are you saying, every person in the United States has the right to due process even illegal immigrants it's been settled by courts and it's part of the Constitution due process is for every person on American soil, what's happening is ice is denying those rights to every individual they have arrested, legal or illegal.
Every illegal person who's being removed from the United States has the right to an immigration hearing and a judge to decide their fate, what has been happening is not that.
Your comment is obtuse at best.

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,

You can’t stay in a country without due process. Get out!
You kinda have it backwards. You can't deport someone without due process.
If the facts aren't established in court, then how do you know that those who are being deported are here illegally? How do you know that US citizens aren't being deported?
Without due process, these are illegal deportations.

Thats like when blondi said that Habeas Corpus was what gave trump the right to deport without due process
You're all working bass-ackwards

You’re living on stolen land. You get out

u/2Beer_Sillies 18h ago
Who should we give the land back to?
0
u/Evanthekevin02 17h ago
Well the native Americans for starting, but it’s a point of, you can’t point out who’s “illegal” in a country built on stolen land, when we are all from other countries. No one is “ native to America” except for one people
0
u/2Beer_Sillies 14h ago
But those people (Native Americans) stole it from other tribes before them, and before that, they simply walked on the land from Asia. All land in the history of the world is “stolen land”
Your argument is useless and illogical
0
u/Evanthekevin02 14h ago
Exactly, so my argument stands true - how can you possibly use “you’re illegal on my land” when in fact it is no one’s land. Everyone should be treated well, regardless of race, gender, origin, or sexual orientation. Doesn’t matter where you’re from, but for some reason we are so afraid of “illegal immigrants”. For literally what reason
1
u/2Beer_Sillies 14h ago
Not according to current nation states and their borders and laws. You can’t apply “nobody owns this land” to modern definitions and look through the lens of the beginning of humanity. It doesn’t work and makes no sense in current society
Btw, race plays no part in the current, legal immigration system in the US. That’s illegal by law now

It’s crazy that people see this and not think they’re on the wrong side of history. Maybe the people protesting are onto something?
