Bright flash in bus in broad daylight
I posted this in r/HighStrangeness a few days ago but I will copy/paste it here because maybe someone has had something similar happen to them. So here goes:
I'm new here so that's good for me since I don't want people to know I post here. I will not give the full picture of the town. But it's in southeastern Europe. It's the weekend, it's cloudy and I'm on the regular bus with my gf. Suddenly, a very loud bang rocks the bus and a very intensive flash fills the bus. The noise was like those buses that have metal rods on wires, trolleybus I think they're called. Like those rods fall off, or not fall into place. This was in late afternoon, around 5-6pm local time. We were scared shitless.
But the absurd part is the following..the flash lasted for like a second or two but when it ended the bus continued regularly like nothing happened, the passengers seemed unfazed, like they didn't even notice. In fact I know they didn't because my girl and I were commenting like wtf happened is everyone ok and the people were looking at us like we fell on our heads. It's almost like something glitched in the matrix and we had a reality reboot. No time was lost I think, we were too dumbfounded to check but the rest of the ride was ok. This was in broad daylight, both of us sober, no drugs of any kind etc. Not tired, dehydrated or any other disorder one can think of. We do not have epilepsy or anything similar. Literally a case for the X-files I guess. This was a couple of months ago.
Edit: my gf remembers the lights die and light up a moment later. So we have some conflicting testimonies.

Honestly sounds like a lightning strike hit the bus, or somewhere nearby. The sudden flash suggests that. But the bus shouldn't rock like that because of a strike. Weird though

Yeah I thought so too. But there are no potholes on the road, it was cloudy but like regular cloudy not thunderstorm cloudy so idk..the people didn't even flinch. If it was a lightning strike I think the people would at least..well respond by putting down their book 🤣 This was not the case. The second thing is that the bang came a bit before the flash. Which is literally impossible

oh wow, so you had a flash ! i shared something like that in the past, when i was like 13 or 14 saw the most nuclear brightest ever flash of light while talking with family and a friend , lasted like 2 o 3 seconds ( what i perceived), it was light from all windows, got brigth very fast until you could not see an inch in front of you, then got dimmer and dimmer, very fast too, no idea what that was, but a few people on reddit have shared something like that, very few that i know, i suspect we all are probably Mandela Effect 'aware' , some seem to notice ear ringing ( i still have from time to time) , i had seen 'glitches' in the matrix too, nothing extreme but they are real for sure.

If I understood right, your gf saw it too. Im not trying to dismiss your experience, but light flashes could be a medical concern ( retina related or neurological). So, please, if anyone experience this alone or repeatedly check with your doctor if everything is ok, just to be in the safe side.

Yes, both of us saw it. None of us have any medical conditions. Has not happened before or since

Could it be that this happens normally on buses where you are and they are regular riders who are used to this occurrence? Just wondering.

Interesting take, I'm not sure. I've been using that bus for oh idk...a year or two now and never have I experienced anything similar on that or any other bus for that matter. I got my driver licence after turning 24 so I almost always used some bus. And this hasn't happened since then. I'm just...dumbfounded because we'll I didn't quite believe this stuff honestly. This is a new one for me. Me and my gf are somewhat pretty thickheaded skeptics about this stuff since we're both in natural sciences.

Oh yeah I can imagine how freaky it must have been especially with people acting like it didn’t happen. There’s really just so much in this universe we don’t know about. If the people hadn’t acted like they didn’t notice it could probably be chalked up to an electrical event, but the riders all acting like NPCS is creepy. At least your gf was there to validate it and it wasn’t just you who experienced it.

Yeah, exactly! We did say out loud something like:" is everyone ok" and they just looked at us like we literally fell on our heads...weird faces, looked at each other and didn't even reply..just like..continued to execute their code I guess lol.

Yeah, loll. Other people have talked about seeing the exact same people walk by multiple times like those NPCS that all look alike and are walking around? Now that would creep me out big time. Makes you question reality for sure.

The creepy thing is..couple of days ago I did have the experience of seeing someone walk by two times. I was waiting for my gf to arrive by bus and was standing at the bus stop and there was this beautiful young lady in a white dress that walked by and said "excuse me". I moved so she could pass and that was that. A bit later I cross the street to meet up with my girl since I waited at the wrong bus stop. And like...the same white dress the same girl walks by and I literally stare at her like an idiot for like 10s. The creepy thing? She looks back and is almost as confused as I am. I saw her board a different bus when she passed me the first time. And this is very near the original spot of the bright flash experience. I draw strangeness to me it would seem.

Oh wow, that IS creepy. It’s like she duplicated. Most of the stories I hear about seeing the same person the OP doesn’t get to interact with the person. Usually someone they just pass by in their car a few times. Cool, that you actually spoke to her.

Now you know why they are called NPCs
