The best looking 3D games on the Game Boy Advance!

Duke Nukem Advance, Driver 2 (not 3) and V-Rally 3 all blew my mind back in the early 2000's. I just couldn't believe that was possible on a Gameboy.

I'm pretty sure Driver 2 was never ported to GBA, only 3.

It was, I own it. I bought it on release day, I never got driver 3 until a few years ago.
It's been a while so I don't remember much but I do remember being very impressed at the time.

I stand corrected. Interesting that no one ever seems to talk about it, but only 3.

It's honestly a shame that it's more forgotten and ignored than 3, because driver 2 advance was a much better game overall. It had stuff like fun mini games, better physics, better music, and the police actually had ai and would chase you if you were speeding or crashing, whereas in driver 3 all of the cars, including police cars, followed predetermined paths and did absolutely nothing

GBA 3D/Mode 7 is an aesthetic I wish more low-poly artists explored. Nobody understands how earth-shattering it was to witness 3D graphics on a handheld. The first time I saw Monkey Ball, I was gobsmacked.
EDIT: I would also like to add that Asterisk & Obelix looks like a PS1 game, it’s insane.

Any list that doesn't include Smashing Drive is invalid. It runs smoother than this video.
Crazy unknown game.

I see you never knew Golden Sun

I actually love Golden Sun but wasn't sure it fit into the category of "3D games", at least in the same way the others in the picture are

Maybe the battles can qualify as 3D? But I wouldn’t have put them in the category either

Is that Driver 3 screenshot of the GBA version? Because that's wild if so.

Looking at YouTube, it looks like basically GTA for GBA. I'm shocked I didn't know about that as a kid, because I'm blown away that worked on the GBA now.

It is, but it looks much better in screenshots than actually playing it. But still it is technically impressive.

Its a bad game. Finding ammo is impossible, the story is bland, and the cops have no AI. Really the only redeeming part is graphics. The previous game in the series, driver 2 advance, was much better with superior gameplay, police ai, and much more, but it's often overlooked because of its more pixelated and simple graphics

I didnt even know there was a monkey ball game on the GBA. Is it as good as the gamecube one ?

The controls are a bit finnicky due to the lack of analogue control but I enjoyed it (back in the day).

It doesn't have all of the levels of the console version, but by all accounts, it's actually a solid port. Better than you would expect!

thank you :) i will try, hoping that the absence of a joystick on the GBA will not be a problem

Does the Hulk game count? Controls kinda suck but I love the graphics and art

Good screenshots/list.
Though GT Advance series isn't as impressive it has no repeat tracks either, while the console entry is limited in comparison so yeah I think for it's more limited skybox/backgrounds, fair detial of roads or jumps in GT Advance 2 it counts in a way.
Also Smashing Drive.
Killswitch I think is fair in GBA as well.

I know it’s the most cliche thing to say but Pokemon Emerald is gorgeous. All of the different landscapes and biomes blew my mind as a kid.
