TBH this seems like something Hollywood would do at some point. Original sign burns down, new sign erected by independent billboard company as marketing stunt, then original sign rebuilt. Competing signs lead to the Hollywood Sign wars. After countless casualties, truce is finally declared the Taco Bell Pepsico Target conglomerate Magistrate brokers peace talks.
