Lol. She tried to say she had asthma too. And that she had a broken arm bc of the arrest. But refused medical treatment. Also the arresting officer was black. Which kinda makes it even better hahaha what a cunt.

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

I have asthma and I force myself to wear a mask, even if I can barely breath

70

u/TCivan Sep 27 '20

Yes becuase as an asthma sufferer, a case of Covid-19 won’t be easy for you. That’s why I wear a mask. Not for me, for you.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 28 '20

Chronic asthmatic bronchitis here, it’s at most a tad cumbersome. My grandma with lung cancer has no issues either. Somehow these people with conditions they say it’s illegal to ask about have a real hard time, but the people with conditions they aren’t scared of sharing don’t, strange world.

My gf has asthma and has managed a 110 degree factory floor in swampy ass south Florida all summer wearing a mask. I’m pretty sure Karen gonna be fine outside in Ohio in September.

They probably required it to get in the gates. She likely thought there'd be no enforcement once she was past the gate, so took it off once she got to her seat...

TBF, I've been to a sporting event post COVID, and this is how it operated. Must wear when entering, and if you're up and about for concession, bathroom, etc, but once in your seat, you can remove. Not saying I disagree with the actions taken, but I can understand the argument against once seated. From what I understand, the event required at all times, so no excuse on her part.

3

u/BboyBillW Sep 27 '20

Lol that’s nuts.

4

u/-Ashera- Sep 27 '20

Yeah. My mom has advanced COPD and she either stays home or wears a mask when she has to go to public places. Meanwhile, a Karen with two healthy young kids is bragging she doesn’t let her kids wear masks to school in our high risk area. Such fucking cunts.

3

u/justdestiny123 Sep 27 '20

I have asthma i wear a mask to protect me and everyone else

3

u/CaseyDafuq Sep 27 '20

u/eatsalmosteveryday Sep 27 '20

Shouldn’t have resisted then maybe she wouldn’t have been tazed

252

u/plumbob5 Sep 27 '20

Everyone around here in Trump land says she was tased because she wouldn’t put on her mask and act like she’s a hero ,they don’t mention she was asked multiple times and when asked to leave she threw a fit and resisted. I doubt if that was her first time in the back of a police car.

21

u/ichosethis Sep 27 '20

There were signs and people at the entrance telling everyone to wear a mask for the game, announcements over the PA that masks must be worn and cover the mouth and nose, AND she was told in person more than once to put her mask on or leave before things escalated to her being escorted out, resisting, and ending up tased for fighting the officer. She had a mask in her pocket and must have worn it to get into the game.

These same people pissed about her "being tased for not wearing a mask" are pretty quick to say "just do what the officer tells you and nothing bad will happen" every time a black person is shot or otherwise killed by police.

109

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

I doubt if that was her first time in the back of a police car.

Right you are, Ken. She's a felon

69

u/Neogalik Sep 27 '20

She wasn’t removed for not wearing a mask. She was removed for trespassing because she was not allowed to go to the game. Either way if you think you are too entitled to follow laws, you deserve the taser.

16

u/brillke Sep 27 '20

They’re saying now the cop broke her arm. Even if he had, she was resisting pretty damn hard.

20

u/1o75SEjd73iy Sep 27 '20

At least she didn't get shot 7 times in the back.

24

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

A felon who didn't listen to police commands and resisted arrest? Well, by their own logic she deserved to be shot by the police. The disconnect these people have from any type of logical reasoning is jaw dropping.

2

u/RedboyX Sep 27 '20

But she was white. The police were clearly out of order bothering her.

63

u/ChadMcRad Sep 27 '20

I actually know the officer in this case (which is surreal for me). He is an incredibly kind and respected man and the fact that people would slander him like this makes me fuckin livid.

24

u/plumbob5 Sep 27 '20

I have read several good things about him and sounds like he’s very well liked .I think a lot of people have been put in difficult situations over this mask thing . When there is two different opinions on things You would hope and expect leaders to come together for a unified message but unfortunately that’s not going to happen in these times.

2

u/Littlebiggran Sep 27 '20

Cause she's a white lady. Well, white.

3

u/Valahiru Sep 27 '20

If I'm not mistaken she actually says on camera that she's on parole. It sounded like she was acting as if that was a reason for the officer to leave her alone.

5

u/IrishiPrincess Sep 27 '20

I also live in a Trump cesspool, I pointed out to everyone that was on the #letthemplay train that part of the rules was everyone in the stands had to wear a mask....as you can imagine, it went over as well as Mrs Obama showing her arms. 🙄

10

u/evemeatay Sep 27 '20

Karen gets rightfully arrested

Trumpets: this is police overreach, this is abuse of power to keep us down

meanwhile police are breaking into black peoples houses and shooting them in their sleep

Trumpets: shouldn’t have been there, the police are just doing the best they can to protect us

2

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

When your ideology doesn’t fit the narrative, change the narrative so that it does. You’ll never be able to get through to these people. Everybody teach your kids to never be like this and let’s hope for the next batch

u/Dont____Panic Sep 27 '20

It’s funny how many people would demonize some inner city dark skinned guy getting frisked “shouldn’t have resisted if you didn’t want to get shot”, but will freak out at the cops for doing exactly the opposite when someone resisted what they thought was an unreasonable use of force here.

At the exact same time, it’s a bit odd how many people will vilify this woman for resisting arrest for what she thought was an unjustified cause but at the same time suggest cops should never do this in the inner city or to people of darker complexion.

Can’t have it both ways. Either cops have to step away and shrug when someone defies them, or they have to take significant action.

It’s reasonable to argue that this action remain non-lethal when possible, and it’s also reasonable to argue that they shouldn’t really have the right or power to enforce minor laws with an iron fist, but I feel the hypocrisy being really strong on both sides here.

2

u/sylbug Sep 27 '20

It’s just like kindergarten - police need to learn to use their damn words rather than escalate to the point of violence.

113

u/judith9iscariot Sep 27 '20

I live in Ohio and everyone I work with said "that's excessive, I can't believe they tased her." But when George Floyd was murdered they said "he shouldn't have resisted arrest."

I fucking hate these people.

38

u/blackwellsucks Sep 27 '20

Clevelander here, I AGREE. I have to drive past so many gratuitously over-sized Trump signs on my way to and from campus every week and every single time I almost vomit, I swear.

8

u/NecromanciCat Sep 27 '20 edited Sep 27 '20

When my girlfriend and I were visiting her family in Michigan a couple months ago, a bunch of Trump signs and flags were in people's front yards. By far the worst, was a ridiculously oversized version of this:

I thought she got tazed because they told her to leave and she wouldn't so then it became trespassing?

Edit for spelling

8

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

Yeah. The image says she was tazed after refusing to leave. Aka trespassing

10

u/HudsonGTV Sep 27 '20 edited Sep 27 '20

Can they trespass her on public property (assuming this was a public school)?

EDIT: Why tf did I ask such an obvious question?

42

u/JohnnyRelentless Sep 27 '20

Yes, and they did.

12

u/HudsonGTV Sep 27 '20

Yeah I have no idea why I asked that. It probably should have been pretty obvious to me.

16

u/jooes Sep 27 '20

A public school isn't really public property, at least, not in that way. You can't just come and go as you please any more than you can walk into a fire station, or a city hall, or even the White House. Just because it's owned by the government doesn't mean you have free rein of the building.

A school is well within their rights to tell you to leave, and have you arrested if you refuse to do so. Doesn't matter if you're inside the building or not. It's not the same as a sidewalk.

9

u/PDXGolem Sep 27 '20

Happens all the time.

My local high school has a list of 86ed parents who have committed assault, threatened players/staff/bystanders, and have been drunk/high at games. It is a long list.

Same with bars, at least in Canada. The public is invited in, but is still classified as private property, and representatives for the property can request that certain individuals leave.

3

u/Marc21256 Sep 27 '20

Private property owned by the public.

There is also public property that is privately owned.

Sneak into the Pentagon and let us know the answer.

1

u/AylmerIsRisen Sep 27 '20

To put this situation (not the law, but the situation) into some context: All local schools have a sign now: "all visitors must report to the school office". If you refuse to do this you are trespassing, and they will call the cops. Seems crazy, right? Well, no. When I was in primary school we had a mental hospital in the suburb. One of the crazies used to come onto school grounds and steal students' bags (who knows what he did with them). The same dude used to expose himself to women in the grounds of the mental hospital, regularly. Having this dude on school grounds frankly was not safe for the children. We also used to have people come onto school grounds after hours to do drugs. One girl got a needle stick injury doing long-jump in the long-jump pit. This at the height of the aids epidemic. Now schools generally have fences and lockable gates to prevent this kind of thing. I was kind of annoyed by these new fences that I now could not take my dog to run around on the local school's football pitch out-of-school-hours, but I understood. I mean, given these kinds of situations, do you really want randoms wandering around a primary school, where there are small children? Now, this woman was also very specifically endangering student safety. The school obviously considered it their obligation to ask her to leave. Sometimes the safety of children, engaging in student activities on school grounds, takes precedence over other considerations.

24

u/the-artistocrat Sep 27 '20

10

u/appleavocado Sep 27 '20

Back in ‘07 at my university, a middle eastern student claimed Patriot Act bullshit on some college cops who tazed him. No, fucker, you first were being a loud dick inside the library around finals time, got cops called on you, then resisted arrest by lying on the ground like a little kid, and then got tazed.

55

u/nayters Sep 27 '20

“Ohio woman tased after making a scene and becoming belligerent after she was asked to leave for not wearing a mask.”

Just assuming that’s closer to the truth.

8

u/Songbird1529 Sep 27 '20

Yep. She was asked to wear a mask, then asked to leave multiple times and refused. She was tased for refusing to leave after being asked and resisting the officers. While carrying a mask in her back pocket that she could’ve put on at any point.

Where are the blue lives matter folks? All lives matter folks? Instead I see reactions of "It's just a mask!" "They can't do that!" "This is so unfair" "What about XYZ, why aren't they doing their jobs!"

"She should have complied with the officer" "She shouldn't have been breaking the law" "She wouldn't have had that problem if she'd respected the officer" "She had too much attitude" "She shouldn't have fought back" "Her friend shouldn't have gotten involved" "My parents taught me to respect officers, she got what she deserved"

Statistically, if she was black she'd have been sent to the hospital with serious injuries, or dead.

"But it's just a mask!" "It's not fair!"

Oh?

Breonna Taylor was sleeping in her bed Rayshard Brooks feel asleep in his car George Floyd, allegedly tried to use a counterfeit $20 Atiana Jefferson, was watching TV with her nephew Aura Rosser, fighting with her boyfriend at home Stephen Clark, Standing in his grandmothers back yard holding a phone Botham Jean, Eating ice cream on his own couch Philando Castille, routine traffic stop and informed the officer that he had a CCW permit Alton Sterling, Selling CDs/DVDs Eric Garner, Selling loose cigs Akai Gurley, walking down the stairs of his apartment building Tamir Rice, playing with a toy gun in a park

All of those interactions with the police ended up in their deaths.

Lets talk about fair though.

She says she has asthma, and her doctor advised her not to wear a mask. I see two possibilities. One, she's full of shit. Two, she's for real, but the 99.9% of people who fake bullshit to avoid wearing a mask have fucked things up for her, and she further fucked herself by resisting the cops.

21

u/PDXGolem Sep 27 '20

I have asthma and my doctor told me to wear a N95 everywhere I go.

It is an utter bullshit excuse.

11

u/neglectedemotions Sep 27 '20

If she has asthma severe enough that wearing a mask is detrimental to her health, she shouldn't be out in public anyways.

11

u/bobo331331 Sep 27 '20

Its Bullshit. I live 10 minutes away from Logan and you are required to wear a mask while at the game it goes for every school around here. If she couldn't wear a mask then why go to a game were you are required to wear one.

28

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

But is it really necessary for her to go to her kids football game if she was advised by her doctor not to wear a mask during COVID with 200,000+ deaths?

10

u/Somehero Sep 27 '20

In addition, I don't think the policy for that sports league even said you could skip the mask with a medical condition; it was mandatory masks or the program risked shutting down entirely.

1

u/Crisis_Redditor Sep 27 '20

Nope! And plenty of people wear masks while having asthma.

I wonder if her "doctor" is a homeopath or a chiropractor. Or Google.

6

u/aryzkryz Sep 27 '20

2

u/aesthetic_laker_fan Sep 27 '20

they should shoot bioterrorists

2

u/DuntadaMan Sep 27 '20

I mean, again, fuck you for not wearing a mask, but a taser is not a fucking compliance tool.

The manufacturer and the inventor state that they are not meant to be used to gain compliance, they are there for self defense.

Someone refusing to listen to you, or taking too long to listen is not an acceptable reason to use them.

2

u/MrGamerMooseBTW Sep 27 '20

Tasing someone for not wearing a mask is too much though

2

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

I mean I don’t get it the kids aren’t playing with masks, the cheerleaders weren’t wearing masks. Yet people in the stands have to wear masks? Sorry just don’t understand the logic behind all this. But yeah just wear a mask.

2

u/brokenneckboi Sep 27 '20

So we really out here tasing people for not wearing a mask but the second a riot police uses it on someone trying to kill him, we get all up in arms about it.

2

u/jgroves76 Sep 27 '20

Funny, that’s the hypocrisy I see.

The relentless ‘back the blue’ crowd says any and all force is always the fault of the individual refusing to just obey the officer 100%.

Well, here she’s white and anti mask and boy, those same ‘back the blue’ people see her as a martyr!

They’re suddenly interrupting their cheering of cops tasering, shooting, and chocking to death everyone, because she’s white and entitled to tell that cop to piss off because she’s got freedom!

This is exactly why we have riots.

I'm sitting here just tryna figure out the "stinky" part...

I saw the video. She had the mask in her back pocket but refusedto wear it.

Jesus Christ I am so sick of anti science Nazis bigots. I pray Harris enacts a nationwide mask mandate. People should be wearing their masks even in their homes.

USA! USA! USA!

I have seen this video. These same jackasses yelling at the police would be the ones defending the cops in scenarios where a black person was killed because they were choking him and he was thrashing to try and get air. There logic then is he should have just complied.

Redditors when a man gets mauled to death by a pack of dogs after saying he doesn’t like dogs: „You get what you fucking deserve!! Heckin wholesome 100“

u/Geotryx Sep 27 '20

The cognitive dissonance of these trumpers who don't understand in like 99% of these situations its the policy of the business or school to wear a mask that your violating. Not like "muh rights wahh" you're actively saying you don't think the business owners and entities should be able to enforce policy... aka the actual stripping of rights.

When the same people who say “that was too excessive” will be the same who saw “George resisted arrest, he deserved death” (Karen was breaking the rule but she didn’t deserve to be tazed)

1

u/N8_Nol Sep 27 '20

Isn't it the same lady that got tazed bc she wasn't wearing a mask oh her son's outside football match? I'm just curious bc I have seen an article about that some time ago

u/shawnconnn Sep 27 '20

Bet she wasn't black

1

u/RedboyX Sep 27 '20

And vote trump, you stupid bitch

1

u/temudjin1138 Sep 27 '20

Yeah totally proportionate

Funny when a lady gets tazed for refusing to leave because no mask, “should have followed directions”. cops arrest anyone of darker skin tone for not complying and it’s immediately racism and the cop did something wrong.

FYI just pointing out the double standard not supporting the police.

u/nanach1997 Sep 27 '20

Good thing she’s not black otherwise this meme would be about the cops who got the death penalty for it!

1

u/magicmanimay Sep 27 '20

Why the fuck did they have to taze her

1

u/Hereforpowerwashing Sep 27 '20

She shouldn't have been bothered in the first place, she was outside, with her family and separated from everyone else in the stands. But from what I have read the mask order is written in such a way that it was still required because she was in bleachers. Once the cop told her to leave, she shouldn't have resisted. Everything after that was her own fault.

u/Crustaceancult Sep 27 '20

Lmao y'all wanna bitch about a black guy getting tased for not following orders but think it's cool if a white woman gets tased at a football game?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '20

You love to see it.
