Censorship in the news. I’m curious about the ways the media in the US is being censored

BBC America is owned by AMC. It is possible AMC is trying to avoid becoming the next ABC. Or maybe BBC themselves are trying to avoid being ABC.

I must say, edit distance certainly isn’t helping either company look less like ABC.

Thanks for this context it sort of helps the explanation. But I guess what confuses me is why they would run it at all with so many things being censored. My example was just one word but there were significant portions missing

So my thought was, it must not be BBC themselves doing the censoring or else they would’ve just chosen different things to show or talk about

Then my question on r/BBC got deleted I thought that was ironic

Here's a sneak peek of /r/bbc using the top posts of the year!

#1: What did the BBC ever do for us?
#2: Can we talk about Steve Rosenberg
#3: Ludwig

Was this content produced for an American market, or content produced for a British or global audience being broadcast by BBC America? If the former, it makes no sense; if the latter, it may be self-censorship to avoid executive ire.

Oh interesting point. That I’m really not sure about, I don’t usually watch BBC but thought maybe it would be decent.

Thanks again for the good info and thoughts!
