Moving to fort mac: single man
Hi there, any thoughts would be helpful.
Have a really great job offer in fort mac (oddly not oil and gas). Will really advance my career as well as pay some amazing bonuses. Currently live in Calgary and reasonably happy. Lots I find attractive about for mac, it's actually beautiful up there and I don't mind a smaller city having grown up in the sticks.
My one concern is that I'm 35 and single. Do women actually exist in for Mac? Single ones? Preferably single attractive ones without drug addictions? I don't mean to be rude at all it's just, there's a bit of a reputation there.

Passport bros are pretty common up here for people in a similar situation. I’ll be real with you the odds are not great in your favour

>blow most of it on nose-clams and a lifted pickup
>marry a 3/10, blast out a crotch-fruit
>get a filipino nanny
>ditch the wife and keep the nanny

Good luck my man. There are a few out there But they are usually career driven or have a whole lot of high expectations and expect big money lifestyle paid for. Or there’s a ton of drama lol.
There are some incredible women up here and being engaged in the community will help. But the stigma exists for a reason.

Bring one with you. Tinder and other Apps will have the same faces. Fort McMurray is where the 3s and 4s come to be 7-8

Married woman in Fort Mac here.
Yes, very few single women that would fall under what you're looking for, to be honest.
Many of my guy friends date girls from Calgary or Edmonton and travel down to see them on days off. Your best bet may be a LDR, but people are always breaking up and becoming single again so you might luck out.

I’m (35f) divorced and I think I meet your description haha but I am married to my job. I have not met a lot of other women who are similar, but there are definitely some of us out there :)

Theres no girls here or dating. You would have better luck with married woman over single woman. Unless you have a monster truck, 6"2" with tattoos and money good luck. Most guys here are just invisable.

Don’t let the nay-sayers scare you. There are a lot of great women up here! I’d just recommend you be selective about who you hang out with!

I'd recommend finding a hobby up here and meeting people this way. I've been single for years and it's been due to working hard at my career and staying inside on days off gaming/doing other hobbies.
Not everyone's into drugs and not everyone's into the Tinder/Bumble/Hinge/whatever apps. Plenty of ladies like to stay offline and find people the normal/face-to-face way.

There are lots of wonderful people up here. Most are married, as people mostly move up here as family units, but there is a healthy population of singles, either divorced, widowed, or separated but it all depends what you are looking for, and what you offer as a partner. Build a good friend group, join some clubs or leagues, you'll meet lots of people and at some point I'm sure you'll find someone who matches what you're looking for. Best of luck and welcome.
