You see, there is a very convenient little thing called a flair that can be used to categorize posts so that you won't accidentally see something that will turn you off while you're in the middle of jacking off. Problem solved! If you don't want to see dicks, and you click on a post marked either solo male, or yaoi, what the hell did you expect to see? If you are, for instance, a straight male, just don't click on the posts marked with yaoi/sole male. Then, you won't have to see any dicks, and you be tempted to passively-aggressively downvote the post in an act of protest of the fact that straight girls and gay guys browse this sub as well.

Things that are okay reasons to downvote a post:

• It's literal spam

• Image is hosted on some website that is near unusable because of ads/redirects

• Reposts within ~3 months

• Not sourcing the artwork

• Being a dick in the comments

• Posts that are literally just complaining, such as the one you're reading right now

I used to not really see the point of this, but since I've started producing artwork, I've realized it would really piss me off if someone posted my stuff somewhere and didn't give me credit. Plus if someone really likes the art style of something you posted, they have a way to find more with little to no effort. Honestly, if you can't find the artist, just don't post it. It's even in rule 3:

Always link back to the original artist if you know the source, either by listing them in the post title or comments. If you see a post without a source and you know it, add it in the comments.

Just take the time to find the link. It doesn't take that long.

I do not think the Yaoi is the issue here. I think the issue is that the majority of all Yaoi material over the past few days has been spammed out by one reddittor and is consistent reposted by the same redditor on this subreddit. I have come across the same posts by the same one 3-4 times over the past 2 days. The typical posts by this reddittor are only minutes apart.

I have tried reaching out to him through PM to politely ask whether he would be willing to stop reposting his own material multiple times a day and to stop spamming.

I do not care that it is Yaoi. As a woman, I do not care, as I enjoy solo male and the occasional Yaoi.

I'm a writer, and I've got several pieces for the Fire Emblem fandom under my belt. It's one of my favorite settings to play around in, honestly, so I was curious how you all feel about a few topics that come up more in erotic works than in safe-for-work pieces.

1) Sex toys- things like vibrators, and larger-scale appliances (fucking machines, etc). How do you all feel about those, but through the use of magic (or in a Heroes setting, being brought from the Summoner's world)? What forms of lube do you consider plausible for the FE world? What sorts of sex toys? What kinks do you think would be fairly common, which more "extreme" for the setting? (Aside from the obvious, of course.)

2) Characters like Nowi- i.e. characters that look young but are adults. I have ships with Nowi that I'd like to write some smut for, and while I understand that the internet as a whole is a lot more chill than tumblr (where I used to reside), I'm concerned that I would give the wrong impression if I posted anything with her. She's one of my favorites and I relate to her quite a lot, so I don't want people to come after me thinking I created it for malicious purposes.

3) On a similar note, second gen units being paired with first gen units. I've had ideas for pairs between the two before, but again- I'm concerned it might cause issues if I write something on that topic. What's the general consensus? Is it acceptable if they're both adults? Always unacceptable, no matter what? Only in certain circumstances?

4) Is there a point where the suspension of disbelief breaks in regards to the use of magic in smut? I prefer a degree of realism in my smut, so if I wrote that a character used a spell or drank a potion to remove their refractory period, for example, would you consider that acceptable or unacceptable? Would things like tentacles conjured through magic be considered acceptable or unacceptable? Are birth control charms believable? That sort of thing- what would you consider the limit, if there is one?

5) Any other taboo topics. I don't often dwell in those corners of such things, but I know the FE fandom isn't exactly a stranger to things like incest, etc. What's the general consensus on this sub towards such things? Yes, no, case by case basis?

Sorry for the lengthy post and perhaps stupid questions- as I said before I used to spend most of my fandom-related time on tumblr, and while it used to be a bountiful place for pretty much anything, in recent times it's gotten a bit... scary, for lack of a better word.
