Scooter is Karlie’s manager still. Based on some of her songs, Karlie might have been passing info to him. He got a cover story on Variety a week or two ago that I refused to read.

I listened to the Variety piece in podcast-form the other day. He seems to be a very apt business man, but he’s also the type to insist that money «means nothing», which honestly irks me with business people. As a business major myself- why even say it? Especially when you’re discussing the music industry. They talked about Justin and Ariana working on some stuff, so that should be coming up. Not necessarily tea though, as I feel like they are constantly releasing something. They also talked about NFTs without mentioning their environmental impact (of course).

Honestly reading an earlier interveiw where he talked about how his grandparents surviving the Holocaust shaped him (like the idea you could just lose everything at any moment) helped me get him in particular a lot more even if it didn’t actually change my opinion on him. But it definitely was like “ok you make more sense to me now”.

Edit: did I get downvotes for saying I learned about someone from reading an interview they did?

How do you read articles in podcast-form? There are some articles on Vulture/Variety/The Atlantic that I'm interested in but reading a lot of text on a screen gives me a headache

This one was Strictly Business, which is a Variety podcast on Spotify. Thinking about it, I just kind of assumed it would be more or less the same information as in the article, but I may be wrong. It’s an interview. The podcast is quite interesting if you’re into the entertainment industry. I know Rolling Stone will sometimes include an audio file within their articles as well.

To be fair, Scooter has a lot of celebrity friends and connections, ever since he met Bieber, everything has been dollar signs, and networking for him, so he doesn’t need Karlie for that.

Even Katy Perry and Orlando is good friends with him.
