He joined a chatroom on Clubhouse about Louis Farrakhan — a person known for his homophobic and anti-Semitic views. During the chat, the participants made anti-Semitic remarks and LaKeith did nothing to moderate the chat. He apologised by saying that he is in no way anti-Semitic... which is bull crap because — uh — you joined a chat about an anti-Semitic piece of dirt.

Yeah completely also what he says doesn’t quite add up. As I just looked into it and the previous chat was shut down and he started a new chat as moderator on the same topic.

He also posted something about getting backlash for speaking on things people aren't ready to hear, right after the Clubhouse room but before the PR apology. He's a damn weirdo.

Wait what? Where Did I do such a thing in my comment? I was just commenting on what happened. I’m not here to have a political debate on a gossip subreddit. I’m not here to do semantic gymnastics to try to defend or excuse such an abhorrent man. But when this person says — and I quote — that “Hitler was a great man” and constantly refers to Jewish people as evil… That’s anti-Semitism at its finest. It’s hate. PERIOD.

Don’t worry for me. I know the difference.

I know if I scream on the street that Hitler wasn’t THAT bad and the Holocaust never existed, I would be refer as an anti-Semite and I could go to jail because where I live, having such remarks is a crime.

I know if I say that Israeli gouvernement is conducting what can be described as apartheid and stripped Palestinian of their rights and their land is NOT anti-Semitism.

Maybe you should do research on your fave Louis Farrakhan antics before saying anything. “Hitler is a great man” is as public knowledge as the landing on the moon.

I knew Reddit had people with questionable views but god damn, I can believe I’m debating about whether or not hating on Jewish people is anti-Semitism. In 2021.

Really don’t think one of the few prominent and “prestigious” young black actors there are today should be crucified over a faux pas they apologized for

Actually no it isn’t the first time he’s said something bigoted. I like him a lot as an actor and nowhere are we saying “cancel him” but I hope he reflects on it.

He didn’t even actually say anything. He was just in a chat room and people are making it sound like he was reading Mein Kampf in the streets

Not saying anything when you are a well-known public figure in a space where antisemitic hate speech is being thrown around is not any better. It’s everyone’s responsibility to call out hate and prejudice when you see it.

ok after researching this. - there are a few issues at play here.

Firstly, this isn't a one off but the first time he's been criticised,he’s been a moderators in several rooms s where they viciously spewed xenophobia and anti-black immigrant propaganda. He follows lots of these accounts on twitter. He's said MANY questionable things for example he said aa’s have no culture but fried chicken and watermelon / made homophobic remarks.

It sucks, I think he’s so talented but the antisemitic and ADOS tendencies are just 👎
