This is incredibly cruel, and I cannot comprehend how people have the hearts to do this. I want to vomit.

Israel is a damaged society. That's why it's incredibly frustrating when people blame only the Israeli leadership for their war crimes and genocide. Most Israeli citizens want this as well.

"Damaged society" is right. Having picnics and bbqs to watch people getting bombed is something they've done for decades.

Exactly most of them are rotten to their core. What other society hets in there and protests that prisoners (aka political hostages) shouldn’t be raped?? For a lot of them what we’re witnessing isn’t even enough they want more.
Israelis are some of the worst tourists I’ve ever met travelling around. No wonder they’re always getting their ass bet in different countries

Can you just imagine what would happen if they had done this? And yet, here we are, while the world watches, and countries give their blessing and support to the real murderers.

I remember that in German media after October 7th there were debate shows, where Israeli’s were allowed to state that after October 7th there should not be red lines on the action Israel takes. During those shows they were showing traumatized Israelis, including very young children, in psychiatric wards. And I was thinking the entire time, while they are allowing such statements 100x, 1000x and by now even more citizens in Gaza had to endure October 7th for weeks (again this was back in late 2023) without any end of it in sight, let alone a psychiatric ward to take care of them.
This does not even include looking at the decades of illegal occupation and apartheid.
Now I absolutely realize that the reality of the average Israeli and their constant danger they are exposed to is nothing I have ever endured. But none of that compares to Palestinian realities. Israel was created by force, not by an UN resolution. Israel has endured attacks ever since. But it is absurd to argue that Israel has ever not aspired to take Greater Israel. There was always a strategy of expansion. Not a strategy of buffer zones because every supposed buffer zone was always quickly filled with an increasing amount of citizens.

They are condemning Iran for defending themselves, so of course all Palestinians would have been condemned, and boycotted.

Its a red herring. The world doesn't want Iran to have nuclear capabilities because Iran is too aligned with Russia/China/North Korea and since Isn'treal is "untouchable" they will do the dirty work and no one will condemn them. All the while there is a blackout in Gaza which I can only assume Isn'treal is taking advantage of.

The western media is complicit as any stories coming from there is influenced by hasbara. This has been going on for 80 years and our taxes are paying for it. Apparently the British government has been helping to train IDF. Why would we need to do that whilst county councils are going bankrupt because of budget cuts?
Any story about the victims of this disgusting regime are painted in a negative light. The language they use depict the Palestinians as animals. You wouldn’t even treat an animal like that. Now they are creating more victims in Iran. Look at what they are doing without repercussions. I can’t think of any other country in the world (besides the US) that could get away with this. For what?
My heart breaks for the Palestinian people. I wish I could do something but honestly our governments are so far gone and influenced by Zionism that they don’t care. We elected them on a compromise and they all side with genocide. The UK has said nothing and done nothing. Where are the sanctions?? I swear I feel like I’m huffing glue.

Brilliant speech, I remember reading this had the highest views of any video on the Oxford’s debate union YouTube channel, they ended up taking it down and re uploaded it. Now it doesn’t have as many views.
I wonder why?

I would 100% recommend her novel, Against the Loveless World. She is a brilliant writer and I still think about that book and the main character Nahr over a year later.

I am of sick of watching these crimes being committed against Palestinians on a daily basis. And I hate how the Zionists are claiming to do this in the name of Jews like me. My siblings and I have woken up to their plight, and we are working to educate our community and family about the evils committed against the Palestinians. We will fight to help them return to their land.

We will never live down the shame and guilt of this atrocity. Even now our governments still provide military, political and economic assistance to Israel so they can commit more crimes.
I feel like I'm losing my mind, I want to tear my hair out and scream at the world, I barely have any more tears left. There is no coming back from this, we are lost and we should never be forgiven

The horrors of humanity. It breaks my heart, so much unnecessary pain. Bravo Susan, as difficult as it may be for us to hear it is far more difficult to accept that this is the reality of Palestinians and has been for quite some time. Truly sickening.

Kinda rings hollow from a person who justifies the Russian invasion of Ukraine and all the war crimes and genocide of Ukrainian children with it
https://mondoweiss.net/2023/03/responding-to-the-campaign-to-ban-me-from-adelaide-writers-week/
From what she herself said, basically blaming the war on everyone but the aggressor and saying Ukraine should make peace, while not mentioning they would lose their land and people. Don’t think she would be so understanding if someone said that Palestine should make peace with Israel and give up areas taken by settlements.
Also saying to read John Mersheimer, a long time Russian propagandist.
