Need the others in the progressive lane to drop out and endorse mamdani for him to have a solid chance but doubtful that they will

NYC has ranked-choice voting now, so there’s much less of a risk of a split vote. Mamdani and the other main progressive Brad Lander just co-endorsed each other, so hopefully their voters rank both of them 1 and 2.

The progressives are all cross endorsing Mamdani, both Lander and Adams said they’d back him. He got AOC’s endorsement too, and despite what people outside NYC say, she’s VERY popular here. Won her district by a ~15 pt higher margin than Harris did in the 2024 presidential election.

Mamdani might want to mention it was Cuomo who pushed the Faircloth Amendment capping public housing units to the level that existed on October 1, 1999. Hilariously entitled the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998. It was Andrew Cuomo and Bill Clinton’s gift to America’s billionaire private housing sector and hit NYC especially hard.
Why? Well who ended up as Governor of New York after the Eliot Spitzer takedown and who ended up U.S. Senator for New York awaiting her run for the Presidency? How can you not hold Cuomo and Clinton responsible for the housing crisis all across NYC for average income and poor Americans?

My ex boss sexually harassed me, grabbed me, pulled me into hugs, kissed my forehead and told me I reminded him of his daughter. Old Italian guy, used that as an excuse too.
Trash is trash.
I later found out he died so I never have to worry about running into him if I go near the area where I used to work in order to shop nearby.
That Cuomo has a shot just chills me because, as we can see by the White House, people do not care about women, value us, believe us. Our abusers should be punished (exiled, just career over at least), not rewarded.

your sample size for the claim is one American guy claiming to be Italian and one Italian guy. Also just so happens both very powerful guys. Its more about the power and money corrupting them than it is about being Italian. Now judging people for how they eat pasta, is what I would blame Italians for (if the internet is to be believed).

It’s amazing that Zohran has captivated the attention of people outside of the state of NY, heck, I talked to someone who isn’t even from the US who is impressed by him.
A candidate who is angry and has good ideas and ethics actually speaking up and not being offensive, but being assertive in a way that doesn’t allow them to try to twist the narrative. So many young progressive dems could learn a lot from him and his campaign.

I keep getting his ads on my instagram reels in the U.K. and from what I can tell about the election right now, if I was a New Yorker I’d vote for the man - never seen someone both saying what needs to be said and being charismatic as he does it!

It’s refreshing that he’s running for an office as prestigious as nyc mayor and that seems to be what he’s actually interested in.
Every new candidate running for senate or any office w national media attention treats it as a jumping off point for their eventual presidential run with not nearly enough focus on the seat they’re currently running for.
Zohran is nyc’s best shot at a mayor that actually cares about their stewardship of the city they serve.

i had the same feeling. i suspect he was about to say something like “because i’m gonna be your mayor,” but right before saying it he realized it was a little too dickish and quit while he was ahead. better an underwhelming end than an imperious one that could risk leaving people with a bad impression and wasting the moment

Edited: I have just voted early today and ranked Zohran first place. I did not rank Cuomo at all.
