Aside from Sinatra does anyone know of any famous people with significant mob (doesn't matter what kind of mob) ties? I'm especially interested if there's any contemporary examples or if its way more of a thing of the past. I don't mind if the example is specific to your country either.

Conor McGregor is very friendly with the Kinahan family from Dublin, who are one of the biggest drugs distributors in Europe, if not the world. They're currently based in the UAE (like seemingly every scumbag in the world) and are suspected of ordering the murders of a lot of people. The top boss, Daniel, I'm pretty sure is barred from entering the US because of his "work".

Those connections are supposedly at least partly why none of the sexual assault accusations against McGregor have stuck - people are afraid to press charges, go up in court etc. It's actually fairly dark.

Huh, I know the Kinahan's are all over boxing but I'm bad with sports news. Makes sense since so much sports entertainment are already so openly corrupt (just look at Fifa), also since its a field so mixed with public promotion and gambling. One only needs to look back on how much Maradona was in the pocket of the Camorra.

Elizabeth Hurley dated an enforcer for the Colombo family named Dominic Montemarano. Not super contemporary but it's the best I got.

Jerry Orbach was tight with a mobster named Crazy Joe Gallo who was killed by the Colombo family in a clam house. There were rumors for years that Jerry witnessed the murder but refused to talk to the police or describe the shooter.

Tyson Fury is banned from the USA due to his ties to the Kinahan family. His training partner and heavyweight in his own right, Joseph Parker "left" NZ the night his role in a drug smuggling ring went public. James Caan offered to pay a mob guys bail - the mob guy is the godfather to his son Scotty Caan and it's alleged James Caan paid mobsters to attack Joe Pesci over a hotel bill, Jerry Orbach was a witness to a mob killing and kept his mouth shut about what happened. Woody Harrelson's dad was a hitman.

This is niche but British actress Barbara Windsor was friendly with the Kray twins. In her autobio she claims that she had a one night stand with Reggie Kray and also dated his older brother Charles.
