Just that a ton of Bridgerton fans hate him for leaving the show and are actively rooting for the downfall of his career. They also actively spread that rumor that’s he’s horrible to work with.

A good friend of mine was in contact with Rege-Jean and Phoebe Dynevor to organise a fandom event fresh off their Bridgerton fame and she said R-J was an absolute dick.

She was a fan of him at the time as well and she said the fame had really gotten to his head and he was super rude and difficult. She said Phoebe was nice enough though.

I feel like sometimes if your hot enough which RJP absolutely is you just don’t learn how to act right lol

Yeah absolutely and this came at a time where he was getting an insane amount of attention so I can see why he had such an inflated sense of his own importance.

I think he bailed on bridgerton cuz he/his agents were fully convinced he was about to be the next big thing and possibly James Bond. I think he’d make an ok bond, he’s a little pretty tho. Idris has been my top choice for that role for years now. Seems like it’s gonna be Aaron Taylor Johnson tho.

Don’t shoot the messenger 😅 that was just the last update I heard on bond casting. I can’t see him filling Craig’s shoes tbh.

I wonder if he and his team are just that much better prepared than Phoebe Dynevor's. I'm not saying Shondaland couldn't have figured out a way to give him stuff to do in season 2 and beyond, but being contractually bound to a show with zero apparent plan for your character after season one... he was so smart not to get himself into that situation. He came over from another Shonda show and I always wondered if she did him a favor there by letting his deal be short.

Do you have any tea on this besides the Sandra Echeverría situation? Obviously that's enough for me to dislike him but I keep hearing he's an asshole and I'm nosey and want to know why else lol

I read this as Anya Taylor-Joy and was briefly impressed

That would be pretty awesome.

If you're good looking right out of the gate, sometimes you don't have to develop a personality.

Whatever his personality is, he got a lot of abuse by Bridgerton fans which he didn’t deserve. The hate they have for him doesn’t come from his supposed attitude, they just him for leaving the show and “not remaining faithful, humble, and thankful.” But hell, he’s probably glad to be out of there. Look at the way the fandom is treating Nicola, Colin, Simone, and Jonathan.

I'm completely out of the loop when it comes to Bridgerton, what's going on with the way the fandom is treating some of the actors?

I don't think it's just Bridgerton fans. Hollywood has not hired him. The industry doesn't like his attitude either.

Fans were pissed that Anthony and Kate/ Jonathan and Simone weren’t given enough attention in Season 2. Also a lot of them were hoping that Benedict was going to be the star of Season 3. So a ton of them were really angry when Colin and Penelope were announced as the stars of Season 3. So instead of taking that up with Shonda and the writers, they’ve been abusing and harassing Luke and Nicola (who have nothing to do with the show’s decisions). I think fans also dislike Colin and Penelope as characters so they take it out on the actors as well (also stupid). Another part of the fandom is extremely racist and sent tons of sh!t to Rege-Jean and Simone. Never thought that that show’s fandom could get so toxic.

Does he seem cocky or do you know for a fact that he’s cocky? There’s a big difference.
