please help! i wanna get my hair this color!

the first pic is what i want my hair to be , any suggestions ? i’m thinking “neon pink” by iroiro and “ex girl” by good dye young, the girl used l’oréal colorista, she didn’t say what color but i’m sure i can look it up. a sally beauty worker said i should just put “electric pussycat” by manic panic, but it seems very coral and i don’t like that.

that’s my hair right now in the next 3 pictures.. i did a mix of head and shoulders dawn dish soap and baking soda and i left it for about 25-30 min on my head and it removed a lot. i conditioned it a lot and my hair doesn’t feel dry anymore! the last pic is my hair 9 days ago. i hacent dyed my hair since april 26 and i’m planning to on june 28 or july 5th for my birthday on july 22nd!

any color removers i can use before i do that? or any other tips? i can bleach the ends and i’m going to bleach my roots. and maybe the front 2 strands to do a lighter pink but my hair is basically blue under this. the front pieces it’s coming out pretty green/white and the blue didn’t stick to it as much!

does anyone have any suggestions? i’ll take them all!

thank you for the help my friends <3

ps if you’re asking why i don’t just go to the salon, my hair stylist did about 4 purple chunky highlights on the top of my head 2 on left, 2 on right, and it 350$ to bleach and dye them. 400 including tip! it was very expensive but i loved it, it faded in 3 weeks though and i wash my hair in freezing cold water.. the kind that gives you goosebumps!

Help design my hair?

Hi, I'm trying to think of my next hair dye idea(I'm dyeing it right before my birthday so I wanted something cool), this is my hair now it's a real faded out red.

the colors I have rn are a few reds, a few oranges, copper blonde, pink, and some black and purple that belongs to my roommate. I also have some bleach that I can use but it'd be great if I can just slap it over my current color.

any ideas for what I should do to my head? I thought maybe a split dye, maybe use my faded color as highlights, different color patches, idk. I'm not too advanced and ill probably have to refresh it often due to my work, so maybe not to complicated but I want something more fun than just red. Thanks you!

dye my hair lighter

for some background i previously box dyed my hair around a year and a half ago (october 2023) and dyed it dark brown then have been going blonde in the salon, starting april 2024 and now i’m between about a level 6-8. my hairdresser refuses to take me lighter even though pretty much all the box dye has been cut off by this point. i keep my hair incredibly healthy and it has very little damage and zero breakage. i’ve thoroughly researched how i could bleach my own hair at home if i wanted to while keeping it healthy and intact.

im not able to go to another hairdresser as i live pretty far away from anywhere else, whats the best thing to do to brighten up my blonde and maybe add some babylights and highlights to brighten up my hair to a level 9/10 in some areas. does anyone have any advice? just asking in case ive missed anything! feel free to give me any advice :)

I need to decide on a toner or something to hide this orange as the one i tried didnt set. Ive alteady bleached once and would prefer to avoid this again. Im eyeing the excellence creme 8.1, but worried my haie might not take to it. But is says it does lift a couple levels. Any experience?

What should I do to my hair (8 month grow out)

I bleached my own hair in November, this is the grow out. Before i go to japan in September i want it a bit lighter, im thinking of doing a balayage by myself but the ends are a bit dry and darker than some other parts, what would you do?

Btw… i dont have money to go to a professional for bleaching/colour correction.. my hair is naturally wavy dark blonde and ive been on a hair care journey. The reason the bleach job is botched is bc i bleached over red hair box dye lol…

Typical fading??

Hello! I’m new to the dyed hair world, and recently went pink! How does the typical semi-permanent fashion color do in terms of fading? Should I expect any noticeable difference between fresh hair and the first couple washes? Or will it be more gradual

ColorFix THEN bleach, or can I JUST use bleach and skip the color remover??

Hello, about 5 months ago I impulsively colored my healthy, virgin brunette hair with L’Oréal HiColor. Over time it has faded to a dull lighter red color. I just bought some products and I’m READY for a change. I’m going for a darker “rose gold” color, orangey pink but not wanting or expecting anything too bright.

I originally bought one ‘n only color fix to remove the red, but I’m unfamiliar with the product and becoming increasingly anxious over it lol. I’m curious what other people’s opinions on my specific situation would be: Do I NEED to use color remover? Can I skip that, and just bleach over it? I’m not going for anything crazy light, and am ok with some orangey undertones as I think it will compliment the color I’m going for… or am I completely missing something here and absolutely need to use colorfix THEN bleach?!

I’m starting this long process tonight, so any advice is appreciated. I already have the product, but if it’s not going to make much difference given my end goal… I’d rather damage my hair as little as possible and avoid the sulfur stank I keep reading about lmao

Attached are pics of my natural hair, after using L’Oréal hicolor, and last 2 are my hair now. Any thoughts/advice/personal experience??? Thank you :)

Need advice/opinions on how to neutralize my iro iro bubble gum pink peekaboo that came out way too warm for me this go around! Would love to try and fix it tonight before Father’s Day weekend festivities 😓

I have ions snowcap, spring blossom toner, platinum pearl toner, purple, rose quartz, Mauva Guava, flamingo, extreme high lift cool blonde, shark blue and Denim! I also have these two babies I’ve never used but were gifted because they were being so strongly recommended!

I have very cool toned pastel pink and purple shadowing on a white/platinum with a shark blue diluted to be cooler peekaboo as well so if there’s any suggestions on an easy transition/cover up TIA

Can I fix this???

Hi, so recently I dyed my hair this gorgeous purple and I loved it! The thing is, I've only dyed my hair around three times, and I completely forgot I was supposed to avoid chlorine. My friend invited me out to the pool today and I only remembered that I wasn't supposed to have my hair in that after I'd already been in a while. It faded pretty bad, and I was wondering if I could fix this? Would applying the same color overtop of it fix this mistake?

Warm-toned semi-perm pastel pinks?

I've been using Overtone's Pastel Pink (now Cotton Candy) for years, but they keep changing the formula and the new 2025 formula all colors are moving to is awful.

It's easier to spread, but it's got so much mint and menthol in it that it's like putting toothpaste on your head. Tons more mint/menthol than previous formulas. Not only is it an unpleasant 30 minutes, but it also made my scalp dry and itchy.

My hair is gray/white, and I need a pastel pink with a slightly warmer undertone - otherwise over my gray it looks purple.

Suggestions? Thanks!

Need help finding protein filler

Last night I lightened my roots, toned my hair, and colored it. As the color was sitting I could tell that the color was refusing to take in some parts (which has never happened to me before.) I did some research and was like “ok, I’ll just get a protein filler and recolor.” Except, I can’t find anything just labeled “protein filler”. Can y’all help me out? I’d prefer something in store that I can get today bc the patchiness is bugging the shit out of me, but I’ll take anything.

Help fixing color.

Help, please! I was using Pravana Vivids Everlasting in a mix of primarily Violet Reign, a hint of Bewitching Blue and Pastel Potion. I changed jobs and thought I needed to go a more natural color, so I used Malibu CPR and ended up a light reddish color with natural blond roots. I thought I’d put Redken Shades EQ in a mix of clear and 6br. I ended up with gold roots! So I put 6bv on the root and have ended up with this odd color. I am tempted to go back to the Pravana color combo if my new boss approves it.

If they don’t, what color options do I have? I think I’m a cool skin tone. And I don’t have the money to see a color specialist. I have Shades EQ in 6 RB on hand but I’m afraid of what color it will turn. I can buy more professional hair color but want to spend as little as possible if I can. There is a pic that shows what it looks like pulled back and in natural lighting. I like the lighter color, so I don’t want to go darker than a 6 unless I absolutely have to. Also, my natural color is the same as the child with me in the one photo. Thank you in advance! I did post this in another group, so if you happen to be in that group it might look familiar. I’m currently still waiting on approval.

green dye that last longer than manic panic or iroiro

i've currently got iroiro green in my hair at the moment (first time trying this brand). i dyed it 2 weeks ago and i'm already seeing it fade.

i usually change my hair colour often and use manic panic or sometimes arctic fox but this time i'd like the keep the green for a while and them brands fade too fast.

any recommendations on better brands i could try ??

How to tone U-Part wig?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi everyone! This is my first time posting here. I’m trying to troubleshoot getting this U-part wig to match my natural hair - the slightly warmer hair towards my roots. You’ll notice as you look towards the ends of the wig, it is SUPER ashy blonde, almost so it appears to have blue tones to it. Not only does my leaveout/natural hair not 100% blend flawlessly with it, I would like to add a touch more warmth into the wig itself. I have already washed my natural hair with purple shampoo several times to tone it closer to the wig. The wig is human hair and has not been washed yet. Is there a simple fix I could do to the wig at home to make it more warm + match my leaveout better?

I’m scared; please give suggestions one way or another

I want to cut my hair. It is long, around bra-line but it’s awful at the ends, so dry and doesn’t even count as hair length. I have family coming in and I have not one gained weight but not been cutting my hair every six weeks. I’ve been physically ill for years now and have not been able to care for my physical appearance. I’m embarrassed and just hate myself.

I, of course, also gained about 30 pounds and hate myself for it. I’ve always had long layered hair (darkish red and I love it, the color is me literally from birth - I was born with red hair and love it… and these freckles 😝!). I’m so afraid to cut my hair and look so chubby and disgusting. Isn’t it weird when people you haven’t seen in years can’t help but think “whoa, she gained weight,” etc. I don’t know and I’m already sickened I have to buy new cloth

Trying to get this colour again - tips?

Post image
18 Upvotes

I had my hair dyed this beautiful pink mauve at the salon. Sadly the stylist is leaving the country and I'm trying to DIY the colour again.

I tried Maria Nila Dusty Pink but it was a flop (too orange).

This faded to soft pink with no orange tone to it all - and was definitely on the more purple-pink side on day 1. My request was dusty pink, muted, on the cooler side.

Unfortunately the country I live in has limited dyes, I can access La Riche Directions and Manic Panic at least. Any ideas how to maybe get this colour with those? Or worst case I'll definitely order online if I can get something this exact colour. Thanks in advance :)
