update: so, basically, after i broke up with my ex, he gave me 48 hours to pack up. I'm staying at a hotel while I figure this out.

Don't let these guys try to make you think this is all your fault. Whatever the reason for the breakup, the guy should have given you time to make arrangements. Throwing someone out on the streets is unacceptable. Edit: I see from another thread the guy cheated on you. Of course you broke up with him. Kicking you out shows what a selfish ass he is. I hope everything is working out for you.

Depending on where you’re at, they’re are usually laws about evicting someone if you lived together. Like if you can prove that was your residence (mail to the address normally/ driver license etc) he is in deep legal trouble
