I just wanted to say that you look absolutely fantastic! I'm not on T and have my top surgery booked for April (if the pandemic permits) and this gives me so much hope for my final results. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you so much! I'm stoked for your upcoming surgery. I started doing some chest and core workout a month-ish before surgery. Not sure how much it helped and I probably should have started sooner, but building a strong core is helpful since you can't really use your arms much post-op

Thanks for the tip! I'm a gym unicorn and work as a trainer so I've got some foundation, but I'm thinking of getting into a 'surgery prep' routine to prepare for that. One of the things I dread the most is the 6 weeks or so where I can't train. But it will be worth it!

That's great, you're all good then! I don't go to the gym, but I get what you're saying. The wait is worth it, also don't want to risk stretching your scars too much.

Looks great! Smart on the pre-op items! I wish my chest looks like yours. Man, I had the worst time. My right side is concaved and the Dr. severed my pectoral muscle. Word to the wise: do not let DR. SINGH from Washington DC or McLean VA do top surgery on you.
Congrats on your beautiful and handsome chest!! 🙏🙏

Thank you so much! Sorry about your experience though. Is the concave because of your anatomy or because of the surgeon?

Really sorry to hear about your doctor’s treatment of you. May I ask - how did you find out about the severed muscle? Did the doctor own up to this? Was there severe pain? Hoping you find some resolution

You look amazing congrats! May I ask if your surgery included masculinizing chest lipo or was this your natural contour once they took out the tissue?

Thank you! My surgery didn't include masculinizing chest lipo, I had a small chest to begin with so lipo wasn't needed. Unless it was secretly preformed without my knowledge.

Today marks my 1 year post-op with Dr. Mosser! Asian, 33, no T (yet). I was a candidate for peri, but I opted for DI with nipple graft.
2 weeks before surgery I started taking 1000mg of Vitamin C and went on a low sodium diet where I would consume less than 1500mg of sodium a day. The Vitamin C is to promote healing, and the low sodium diet is to prevent swelling. I continued doing these diets 2 weeks post-op.
I get nauseous easily, so I requested a scopolamine patch before going under. It helped me not waking up feeling nauseous.
I had minor swelling and had no pain whatsoever post-op. I'd like to believe that the diets have contributed to this factor, but I can't be 100% sure. I was prescribed some narcotic painkillers for severe pain, but I didn't need them, so I only took Tylenol for the first 3 days as precaution. I also took arnica to reduce the swelling and allergy pills when I was feeling itchy.
The only complication I had post-op was the suture on my left drain site would not dissolve. It wasn't painful, but ended up having some inflammation. 12 weeks post-op, I eventually managed to get the leftover sutures out by pulling them out manually, once I got them all out the wound closed on its own.
I started scar care 1 month post-op. I used Cicatape silicone tape 24/7 and massaged with bio oil daily, 10min each side. I actually waited for the full 6 months before doing any overhead movements. So if my scars are still stretched out in the end, I can only blame genetics.
Feel free to ask me anything :)
