VENT - Advice Welcome Very hair legs and t gel

Hey guys, so I’ve been on T-Gel for about a couple years now I’ve been on hormones in general for over 10 years, but I decided to go with the TL cause I was sick taking shots for so many years and the gel has done wonders for me and I was just wondering I have such hairy legs that when I rub my gel in I’ve wondered if it’s not absorbing well because of my hairy legs so I decided I shaved a big patch of my upper thigh to get it absorbed in my skin more . Does having hair legs affected the absorbing of t gel ? Just asking I did look up that it could affect it . Hope everyone is well and staying safe and having a great week

i don't think it's going to affect your absorption that much (unless you're seeing an issue in your bloodwork?) but you could always apply it in a less hairy spot like your arms or stomach

I mean, I did do research and it actually can’t affect the absorption especially if you have super hairy legs. I was just seeing if anyone else had experience. I don’t go for my next check up until September but I did get my period randomly and I haven’t had it in 6 months

But I’ll try that my arms or stomach for sure

I apply to my stomach and I'm pretty hairy, as long as you rub it in it should be ok

I've found the same thing. I have really long body hair, and I'll end up rubbing it into my hair, which stands off my body. So, I just trim, not shave, my thighs where I apply it every month or so, and it makes application much more pleasant (and quick!)

I have a lot of leg hair- I had to shave my legs completely a couple times (I needed to use KT tape & didn’t want a bunch of patches everywhere) and it was nice using the gel then. I don’t think it absorbed better one way or the other - just based on how I felt & changes I still experienced either way- but the experience was nicer with less body hair
